Oct 4, 2011 The Rapture the Tribulation and Yom Kippur related

with 6 comments

This study by Jean Stepanosky is about the feast of Yom Kippur as related to Rosh Hashnna and the Rapture.

My opinion on this study is that if Jesus second coming is to be on the feast of Yom Kippur of 2018 then the beginning of  the Apocalypse is on the same date in 2011 and the Rapture is to be in or before that date.

The beginning of the seven year Tribulation is also related to the treaty or covenant the Antichrist (Barack Hussein Obama) makes with Israel and many plus the appearance of the two witnesses on that date.

It is obvious that if we see these two things happen that we know that we are in the Tribulation. Consequently the Rapture should happen before.

The reader must understand that The prophecies of the Bible are placed with dates that are very specific in their fulfillment and once they happen we can see the specificity of the date, but before it happens it is not as easily discernible. the obvious case in point is Daniels prophecy of the seventy weeks of years that pedicted the first coming of Jesus exactly to the date, but was not discerned by the Jewish priests or the Nation of Israel when it happened.

As such it is with the second coming and the prophecy of Matthew 24: 32-35. In this case the generation is the time specific event, but a generations age could be fulfilled in various amount of years, from a minimum of 40 years to a maximum of 120 years with the most possible dates being 40 or 70 years from the fig tree beginning to put forth leaves (Israel birth May 14, 1948).

So there you have it in a nut shell, the maximum span for the starting of the Tribulations is passed once the fall feast of the year 2011 are passed.

Two Studies About Yom Kippur

Dear Doves,
There are two studies about Yom Kippur which I will be reading and studying this week. According to the Hillel Calendar, Yom Kippur will be 10-7 to 8. According to the sighting of the moon from Israel on 9-29, that would place Yom Kippur one day later, from 10-8 to 9.
One of these studies is available at www.mayimhayim.org/Festivals/Feast8.htm which is a book excerpt from a book by Eddie Chumney. It is ten pages and gives a fine overview of the importance of Yom Kippur. The other is a posting from five doves on 10-6-2005. It is by Arlene at archives at the following website and is  8 pages at www.his-forever.com/yom_kippur_rapture.htm. One of the things she notes is the need to complete 40 days of repentance and teshuvah until Yom Kippur rather than after the 30 days of Elul at Rosh Hashanah (The Feast of Trumpets) 10 days earlier. The number 40 is The Scriptures is about a period of preparation and/or repentance. The life of Moses of 120 years was in three 40 year periods. There were 40 years in the wilderness and 40 years between the Ascension and the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD. The Master had 40 days of preparation before His public ministry began. There were 40 days and nights of rain in the times of Noah. Ninevah was given 40 days to repent after the preaching of Jonah. The sign of Jonah was 3 days or 40 days. There were 40 days from The Feast of First Fruits until Christ’s Ascension. The concept of 40 is very significant in The Scriptures. It can be argued that the most important 40 day period in The Scriptural Year, begun at Nisan 1, would be from Elul 1 to Tishri 10 (Yom Kippur).
As I have noted in posts in recent years at Doves, Rosh Hashanah is not complete until Yom Kippur. They are connected to each other in a process of 10 days and days 30 to 40 and 40 days. As Arlene noted, Yom Kippur is THE DAY of REPENTANCE for THE REDEEMED! What are most of the houses of faith, the congregations, told to do in The Book Of Revelation? They are commanded by Christ to repent. REPENT! Eddie Chumney notices that one of the phrases for Yom Kippur is “THE DAY.” This is the phrase used about the times of Noah or Lot by Messiah/Christ! “They knew not until the day that Noah entered the ark.” Paul noted that some would “see the day approaching” and we have that phrase again of “the day.” The Scriptures note that “the day” is about Yom Kippur. Perhaps The Master using the phrase “the day” would have been understood by those of His times as relating to Yom Kippur, but not recognized by people in our times? First was “the day” in the times of the family Noah, then “the day” in the times of the family Lot, then “the day” for the Repentant and Redeemed of Messiah/Christ? Is Yom Kippur the link and THE DAY for us?
I hope many Doves will be blessed in reading these two studies. For Jews and Gentiles alike, Yom Kippur is well worth our understanding. If it is “THE DAY” linked to The Blessed Hope, the apostacia ( the departure) then it is ALL IMPORTANT! Come quickly, Lord… May we be WATCHING!

July 25, 2011 Rapture at the end of the month of July 2011?

leave a comment »

I have enjoyed reading this article by Eliane B. which is probably the correct view of the plan for the church of Christ.

If this view is correct the first Rapture occurs before the seven year Tribulation starts and it could be on Pentecost of this year which is at the end of this month as the article states. The second Rapture if it happens before the seventh trumpet of Revelation must be at the end of the 1,260 days when the two witnesses are killed and are resurrected three days after.

At this point we must consider the remaining humans left on earth and see how they will be seen by Jesus. In Revelation 20:4 listed below we see another resurrection and this happens after Satan, the Antichrist and the False Prophet are dealt with so the seven years are over. Is this the third resurrection? A few verses after it states that this is the first resurrection.

http://niv.scripturetext.com/revelation/20-1.htm

4I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

We also must deal with the sheep and the goats listed on Matthew 25:31 to the end. Obviously the sheep did not follow the Antichrist, but are they believers in Christ or are they being judged on their works exclusively as the text seems to imply?

It is a complicated subject and I want to thank all those involved in this interchange of ideas for making their thoughts available to others.

Why I think the Judgment Seat of Christ can’t happen before the last Tribulation Saint arrives in Heaven

Dear Doves,

I believe that the Judgment Seat of Christ can only happen after the last saved person arrives in Heaven. So, in my opinion, that Judgment only takes place after the last Tribulation Saint arrives in Heaven, so that the entire Body of Christ is present in the Judgment Seat.

So even if one doesn’t believe that the Body of Christ is taken to Heaven (if not via death) by means of more than one Rapture (being the first one the Rapture of the ones who are ready at the time of the First Trump and the other one the Rapture of the surviving Tribulation Saints at the Last Trump), even if one prefers to believe that there is only one rapture, the Judgment Seat has to wait for the last Tribulation Saint alive on Earth to be translated to Heaven via death, which only happens many years after the First Rapture.

I think that 1 Thess 4:16-17 refers to the pretrib Rapture:

16 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

Notice that the event being described above doesn’t mention the word “last trump”, but “Trump of God”.

1 Cor 15:51-52 refers to the last Rapture after the shortened Tribulation and just before the Wrath of God is poured on Earth.

51 “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”

Marilyn Agee said in one of her posts: “The first trump is blown with the left horn of the ram Abraham sacrificed instead of Isaac (Gen 22:13). The last trump is blown with the right horn of the ram. The Rabbis blow the FIRST TRUMP, the left horn, on PENTECOST, and the LAST TRUMP, the right horn, on the FEAST OF TRUMPETS. It is easy to tell that the LAST-TRUMP RAPTURE will be on Trumpets (Joel 2:1-2), so why wouldn’t the FIRST-TRUMP RAPTURE come on Pentecost? “

I believe that the First Trump Rapture is on Pentecost (the correct date, whatever it is) and the Last Trump Rapture is on Rosh Hoshana / Feast of Trumpets / Yom Teruah. If I believed there was only one Rapture, the Feast of Trumpets would be the unquestionably the best candidate for the event.

The reasons I’m a proponent for Pentecost for the first and pretrib Rapture are:

- Pentecost has to do with the timing of the God espousing the Israelites at Sinai (when the Law was received by them)

- Pentecost is described I Scriptures as the First Trump

- Pentecost was the day the Church received the Holy Spirit and was “officially” baptized, althouth I think the Church was actually born when blood and water poured from the side of Jesus.

- Pentecost is the timing of the end of the barley AND wheat harvest (as described in Ruth 2:23) and this was the timing of the Kinsman Redeemer espousing her (a gentile bride, like the majority of the Church).

The reason the Feast of Trumpets is the best candidate for the last and pre-wrath Rapture are:

- Feast of Trumpets has to do with JUDGMENT

- Feast of Trumpets is Coronation day (Psalms 98:6)

- Feast of Trumpets is the Last Trump

- The last Trump is the last trumpet that sounds gathering the elect, the Tribulation Saints, “of those days” (Mt 24:29&31). This final rapture is described in 1 Cor 15:51-52.

- After this final rapture, death for the Body of Christ (now complete in Heaven, made up of the Bride and the Tribulation Saints) will be swallowed up forever in victory. The victory was already won at the cross, but will be enforced after the Last Trump Rapture.

1 Cor 15:53 can’t be referring to the pretrib Rapture because if it did, then no Tribulation Saint would be able to die after that Rapture, because the verse says that Death will be swallowed up in victory. So I believe that the entire Body of Christ must be united and complete in Heaven (which is possible only after the Last Tribulation saint arrives in Heaven either through death or through the Last Trump Rapture) for Death to be swallowed up in victory.

Again: Death is not swallowed up until the resurrection of the last believer! This is why I believe that 1 Cor 15 is not talking about the First Trump / Pretrib Rapture.

The scripture “But we shall ALL be changed” in 1 Cor 15 makes many serious Bible students infer that this verse proves that all believers are changed at the same time and therefore there must be only one rapture and one resurrection.  But what the verse says is: “we shall ALL be changed”, not “we shall all be changed at the same time”.

What I understand it is saying is that at that point in time when the last rapture occurs, ALL at that point shall have been changed. The overcoming bride had already been changed, given their resurrected bodies previously at the pretrib rapture (First Trump) and now the Tribulation Saints are being changed and receiving the resurrected bodies at the end of the shortened Tribulation. Together, they make up the whole body of Christ who are ALL changed at this final rapture.

It’s important to understand that the First Resurrection in Rev. 20:6 is illustrated in 1 Cor 15:22.26, when we see a discussion of resurrection in which a sequence of different phases or ranks of the resurrection of believers is pointed out, in addition to a reference to when the unbelievers are resurrected.

1 Cor 15:22 says: For in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all (the Bride and the Tribulation Saints) be made alive.

23 But every man in his own order (from the Greek ‘tagma’, “a series or sucession”, “rank”): Christ, the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

(note 1: the verb “coming” above can be also translated as “appearing”, in Greek.)

(note 2: there is no punctuation in the originals in Greek or Hebrew. The commas or lack of commas were added or omitted by translators)

The first resurrection happens in three different stages of phases at three different times. A few, that were part of Jesus’s sheaf (omer), were resurrected and changed with Jesus in the year of the crucifixion (probably 32 A.D.) and were taken to Heaven in their new changed bodies on the Feast of Firstruits (the 16th of Nisan, the day after the Sabbath, when the firstfruits of the barley harvest were being lifted up and waved by the Priest).

The bride, another type of the firstfruits (now from the end of the barley and wheat harvest), is raptured and resurrected before the Tribulation, probably on the Feast of Pentecost, when the Priest lifted up and waved two loaves of bread to the Father at the end of the barley AND wheat harvest. We have reasons to believe that the correct date for Pentecost is the 29th of Tammuz, which in 2011 will fall on July 31st/August 1st.

And the Tribulation Saints, those that are His at His appearing, are raptured and resurrected at the conclusion of the shortened Tribulation, before the Seventh Seal is opened and the Wrath of God is poured on Earth.

The Feast of Trumpets seems to be the day of the resurrection / rapture of the Tribulation Saints (the last phase of the first resurrection which is separated by “tagmas”, “order”, “ranks”), which are typified by the Days of Lot (Lot and his family were removed from Sodom by angels, instants before fire and brimstone fell on Sodom and Gomorra). On that very same day, the 7th and last Seal will be opened and the Wrath of God is poured on Earth. There is Judgment on Earth (the Wrath of God) and Judgment in  Heaven (the Judgment Seat of Christ, which is not for condemnation of anyone, but for very important decisions regarding roles in the Kingdom, as well as rewards that Our Lord chooses to give). On that same day (Yom Teruah), Christ will be coronated King (probably the moment of half an hour of silence)  and the Wedding Supper of the Lamb will be served to all believers that are present in Heaven. These seem to be the events on Yom Teruah, Feast of Trumpets.

This interpretation reconciles the fact that Yom Teruah is a Feast that involves Judgment, Coronation, Wedding (in this case, the Wedding Feast, not the wedding itself) and also a huge event happening on Earth that will unleash a renovation of the planet (in its anniversary).

In my view, the Judgment Seat can’t happen before all saints are united in Heaven as the complete Body of Christ.

I also think that the Second Coming happens a few months after the Wrath of God is poured on Earth.

Love in Christ,

Eliane

Confirmation that the Apocalypse starts in July (sixth confirmation)

This morning I received the sixth confirmation that the Apocalypse starts in July. The confirmation was given to me in the same manner that Jesus communicated with me in the four other times. This is the story as it happened and you decide.

This morning I went to my ear doctor. It was about10:30 AM when I left his office. As I drove from his building garage into the street the little red car in front of me was stopped waiting for the red light to change.

I looked to the license plate and to my great amazement this is the plate:  A Florida tag 766 YQM. As I have explained before in the last communications the 66 is the last book of the Bible, the book of Revelation. The number seven I had interpreted before as the month of July, but in the case of today it may also have the meaning of 7 days since we are seven days away from July.

When I saw the car’s license plate I thought in my mind and asked Jesus to confirm again as he had done before that this communication was from him and this is what happened.

When the light turned green the car in front and me turned left to continue on 57th Avenue. One block ahead this red car signals a left turn and slows down and there to his left was a SUV waiting to turn left and his license plate was: 888APR.

As I explained before this 888 is the Greek gematria (Letters converted to numbers) of Jesus. With those two cars standing in front of me Jesus had confirmed his communication in less than three minutes after I asked him to do it.

Well this is what all this means, the seven year long Apocalypse is starting next month and about a few days after that Jesus Christ the Lord of Lords and King of Kings is returning to earth with all his saints and angels to start the promised millennial Kingdom.

If you know Jesus personally it may also mean that the Rapture of the church may be at any time now. If you do not it means that you have very little time left to turn to him in a love and obedience relationship.

The last four confirmations are linked below.

First, second and third confirmations on June 9, 2011

Fourth confirmation on June 10, 2011

Fifth confirmation on June 15, 2011

http://twelvebooks.wordpress.com/2011/06/15/june-15-2011-another-warning-of-the-start-of-the-apocalypse-in-july-of-2011/

As my closing final words to this testimony that I am giving I urge you to seek Jesus as your God and savior. During the Tribulation the whole world will be ruled by the Antichrist which I believe is Barack Hussein Obama and he will require that every person on earth worship him as god and if you don’t you will be killed. Do not worship him even if it means death, because those who do will be sent to hell at the return of Jesus at the end of the seven years. Those who elect Jesus, even if they die, will be resurrected or allowed to enter the Kingdom if they are alive.

Yours in Jesus Christ

“When Is Shavuot – The Annual Debate”

When Is Shavuot – The Annual Debate

Every year it comes.  I almost dread the season because over and over there are several debates surrounding the day called both Shavuot and Pentecost that keep popping up every year on many forums.

There are numerous hints that the Resurrection and Translation, collectively and popularly called The Rapture, MIGHT happen on this important day.  Although I would like it to be true and am watching for it, I will not argue this idea here but rather focus on the question of When Is Shavuot/Pentecost?

Aside from valid questions pertaining to when a 13th month needs to be inserted in some years (which I will not address now), I think it is possible to know exactly when the day of Shavuot occurs.

I do not want to demean any individuals so I will not reference by name any blog posts, but many of the arguments are not following the rule of “Scripture First”.  I also see some folks falling into the trap of focusing on one scripture to the exclusion of others.  Another common mistake I am seeing is assuming our English translations, or our favorite Bible version, is correctly translated when often the original language says something quite different.

Some Foundation

First let’s define a few things so we are talking the same language:

  • The day in question is called Pentecost in the New Testament which comes from the Greek word Pentekostes which means 50th [day is assumed].
  • In Deuteronomy 16:10 YHWH called it Chag Shavuot in transliterated Hebrew.  The English translation of this is the Feast of Weeks, or Festival of Weeks to identify it as a travelling feast.
  • It is the fourth of seven holy days specified by The-LORD/YHWH and the second travelling feast where all males were required to go to Jerusalem – and everyone was to attend every seventh year.
  • Torah clearly specifies multiple times that the first, second, fifth, sixth, and seventh feasts were to be held on specific dates in the Hebrew months (1/14, 1/15, 7/1, 7/10, 7/15).
  • The third and fourth feasts do not have dates specified.  This is an important detail.
  • Because the day of Shavuot is counted from Firstfruits we must first correctly pin Firstfruits.

Question 1: Where Do We Count From?

Exodus 12:2 tells us to count the months starting in the month of the exodus – in the spring.  I have not heard anyone argue successfully against this.  Whether the first month is determined by the ripeness [Aviv] of the barley, by the spring equinox, or the Babylonian calculations built into the Hillel calendar is a debate for another time, but I will state that for this year the aviv method and Hillel calendar agree.  Also this year the dates of the months are in alignment.

Once we know when the first month and the first day are we can know when Passover/Pesach, the 14th, and Unleavened Bread/Matzot, starting on the 15th are.

Question 2: When Is Firstfruits/Bikkurim?

However, there are two competing ideas about how to determine the day of Firstfruits that must be resolved.

The first idea comes from the Hillel calendar that the Jewish people are using now.  Regarding the placement of Firstfruits, this calendar is absolutely wrong and it can be proved by history and by the day’s fulfillment in the resurrection of Jesus/Yahshua!

There is solid history that during the time of Jesus, the Temple and the calendar were controlled by the Sadducees.  Knowledgeable Jews will attest to this and even Wikipedia describes the details.  During this time they followed the literal meaning of Leviticus 23:11 where it says this day was: “…on the morrow after the Sabbath.”  The first day of Unleavened Bread was like a Sabbath where no work was to be done but in verse 7 it calls it a “holy convocation“, not a Sabbath.  In context “the Sabbath” meant the 7th day.  Almost 400 years later the Pharisees created their calculated calendar with many changes including pinning Firstfruits to the date of the 16th instead of it always being on the first day of the week (our Sunday).

Pinning this feast to the 16th is wrong and can also be proved by the accounts in the Gospels.  Jesus/Yahshua was the Messiah/HaMashiach and fulfilled Firstfruits by His resurrection on the first day of the week as solidly proved by the Gospels.  Four times it is recorded that the only sign given to an evil generation would the sign of Jonah, and twice He expounded saying “…the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

No matter how you reckon it, from Friday evening until Sunday morning is NOT 3 days and 3 nights!  Debating whether He was crucified and buried on Wednesday or Thursday is immaterial here, but that the day of Passover is “between the evenings” which is precisely what Leviticus 23:5 says in Hebrew, and that Jesus fulfilled this day, on that day, the day of the 14th, as the Passover Lamb of YHWH is indisputable except by applying reverse engineering using poor English translations!

It is not possible to fit 3 days and 3 nights between the evening ending the 14th and the morning of the 16th on the Hebrew calendar either.  Therefore the current Jewish method of fixing it to the 16th day is wrong!  It was not a 1 in 7 chance that Firstfruits fell on the first day of the week in that year.  It was 100% guaranteed that He would rise on the first day because Firstfruits was ALWAYS on the first day.

Question 3: When Is Weeks/Shavuot?

Because Firstfruits was always to be the first day we should be able to count days of the omer and correctly arrive at Shavuot.  But there is another controversy!

Most folks think that Leviticus 23:15-16 says that there are 50 days and 7 Sabbaths counted CONCURRENTLY to Shavuot.  However, there is a alternative idea being promoted that it means that we should count 7 Sabbaths PLUS 50 days.  Further proofs are offered by the proponents with these ideas:

  1. The exodus from Egypt to Mt. Sinai could not have happened within 50 days.
  2. The wheat would not be ready to harvest 50 days after Firstfruits.
  3. The day the Holy Spirit was given they were accused of being drunk on “new wine” and there are no grapes ready by then for any new wine.
  4. Joel 2:24 states that “And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine…” and therefore the wheat and the wine at the same time means it is in summer.

Let me first offer some insight on these points and THEN I will show you why according to scripture this double counting method cannot be correct!

  1. Yes, the exodus could have, and did happen in that time frame.  Whether because they were hardened slaves and/or because YHWH miraculously intervened, in Psalms 105:36 it says, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.“  There’s no space to get detailed but I offer this very rough calculation.  400 miles from Egypt to the new Mt. Sinai (farther than the traditional site) divided by 2 mph = 200 hours.  200 divided by 8 hours per day = 25 travelling days.
  2. Search the web yourself.  Yes, wheat is ready 50 days after Firstfruits.  Here is a picture of wheat being harvested in Israel, in 2008, in APRIL!
    http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/ht0wjSaeeub/Wheat+Harvest+Begins+In+Israel
  3. “New” wine is an incorrect translation.  The word new is NOT in any Greek manuscript.  It is “sweet wine” which is a type of wine that was traditionally drunk in the morning.  This “gleukous” wine is made differently from “oinos” wine, takes six weeks to ferment, and can be kept year around – so it has nothing to do with when it was pressed.  See Barnes’ and Clarke’s commentaries here: http://bible.cc/acts/2-13.htm which both attest to this.  This is the same sweet-wine [Asis] mentioned in Isaiah 49:26, “…and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine.
  4. A recent posting claimed that Joel’s prophecy was 1) specifying a time of year, 2) that it was fulfilled at Pentecost, and 3) that by listing both wheat and wine it means that it was in the summer instead of spring.  OK, let’s consider ALL of what it says “And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine AND OIL.“  What oil?  Olive oil – meaning that following the same logic Pentecost would have to be after the olive harvest in the autumn!  Yes, the prophecy was partially fulfilled when the Holy Spirit was given on that particular Shavuot/Pentecost but Peter did not quote verses 24-27. He started at verse 28. Read all of Joel 2 and see that its primary fulfillment is yet to happen.  Verse 1 announces that this about “the day of YHWH” and verse 24 is saying that will take place at a time when Israel is prospering year around with grain, grapes, and olives – which is now, in our time.

And The Answer Is?

Now, following the “scripture first” rule I will show you that it is indeed just seven weeks between Firstfruits/Bikkurim and Weeks/Shavuot.  We can’t ignore other witnesses in scripture.  Here is what Deuteronomy says:

Six* days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to YHWH your God: you shall do no work therein.  Seven weeks shall you number to you: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as you begin to put the sickle to the grain.  And you shall keep the feast of weeks to YHWH your God… – Deuteronomy 16:8-10

* I can’t pass up an opportunity for accuracy.  Our Old Testament is mostly based on the Masoretic text that the Jews use now which says “Six days” in this verse.  But ALL the Dead Sea Scroll versions say “Seven days” – which then matches Leviticus 23:6-8.

What’s the context?  This is the festival of Unleavened Bread.  When do they start harvesting the barley grain?  Immediately after the Firstfruits offering that falls within the festival.  Does it say 7 weeks plus 50 days?  No.  It’s just 7 weeks from Firstfruits to the feast of weeks.  If we were supposed to count 7 weeks PLUS 50 days it would have told us this here ALSO – but it doesn’t!

And you shall count to you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even to the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering to YHWH.  – Leviticus 23:15-16

I can see how the King James could be construed as adding the counts but the witness of Deuteronomy tells us differently.  The Hebrew in Leviticus is much clearer.  The first four words are “Ad Mimmachorat HaShabbat HaSheviit” or “Up to the day following the Sabbath the seventh”.  The NAS is a little clearer than the KJV saying, “You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath…” – the critical word being “to”.

The two accounts in Deuteronomy and Leviticus complete the picture.  Firstfruits is not on a date but the first day of the week following the weekly Sabbath that falls within the week of Unleavened Bread.  Counting Firstfruits as day one, Weeks/Shavuot/Pentecost is also on the first day of the week, 50 days later.

What is this day this year?  From sundown on Saturday June 11th to sundown Sunday, June 12th.

March 27, 2011 Ten Virgins Parable and the Raptures

leave a comment »

Thanks to Josua we have this wonderful link to the explanation of the parable of the ten virgins and the different Raptures of the church of Jesus Christ. It is a late hour and I must stop reading and post this article today. In this blog I had posted my ten virgins interpretation, but this link goes much deeper and with more detail. I would not miss it .

If all does not happen as it is related is because we are fallible humans, but it is a very good interpretation of these prophecies.

“To: Lewis, the 10 Virgins are not the church”

Dear Lewis

I really appreciate your approach in getting the parable of the 10
virgins right. I have been praying for about 1 year to really
understand the 10 virgins correctly and have never really 100% trusted
anything I ever read about it.

The main thing that always puzzled me was: what exactly is the oil?
Surely if it simply represents the holy spirit, the 5 wise virgins
wouldn't mind sharing it with the 5 foolish virgins, and also it could
not be possible buy it somewhere. So again and again I prayed and
begged God to reveal to me the true meaning of the oil and the whole
parable.

Just about 1 week ago, I found the following article, which I'd like
to warm-heartedly recommend to you (and everybody else in search for
the truth! ) as an alternative analysis and interpretation to yours:
http://www.ffruits.org/firstfruits02/thetenvirgins.html

Only after I read that article (as well as the following one:
http://www.ffruits.org/firstfruits02/ComingRapture.html) I was finally
satisfied. It confirmed so many of my own thoughts and perfectly
closed some itching gaps and most importantly led to inner peace and
boosted my intimacy with Jesus so much more!

Watch and pray!

March 9, 2011 “BLOW THE SHOFAR AT THE ROSH CHODESH (New Moon) and at the Full Moon of our pilgrimage feast”

The coming Jewish Feast are very important to the Christians as this year is the probable beginning of the Tribulation and the Rapture.

Thanks to Michael we have these enlightening articles.

“BLOW THE SHOFAR AT THE ROSH CHODESH (New Moon) and at the Full Moon of our pilgrimage feast” – Psalms 81:3

The sequence of every shofar blowing is a series of short blasts, and then a “Last Trump” the “t’qiah g’dolah” held as long as possible.

But there are three appointed “Pilgrimage Feast Days” in a Year…

(1.) The Barley.

Feast of Passover (Pesach), Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits:
The barley-harvest festival was coincident with the commemoration of the original Exodus, when the Hebrews came out of Egypt, ca. 1491 BC. Israel physically left the land of Egypt on the seventeenth day of Nisan/Abib, Abram’s departure from Haran was precisely 430 years earlier.

– The shofar was used for the coronation of kings in Nissan (1 Kings 1:34,39).
– Israel will be advised of the advent of the Messiah with the sound of the shofar (Zechariah 9:14,16).
– The ram’s horn, the shofar, is a reminder of Abraham’s sacrifice of Isaac and God’s provision of a ram as a substitute (Genesis 22:13).
– The shofar was blown to announce the beginning of festivals (Numbers 10:10).
– The blowing of the shofar is a signal for the call to repentance (Isaiah 58:1).
– The blowing of the shofar ushers in the day of the Lord (Joel 2:1).
– The blowing of the shofar is sounded at the rapture of the believers and the resurrection of the dead (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
– John was taken up to Heaven in the Book of Revelation by the sound of the shofar (Revelation 4:1).
– Israel conquered in the battle of Jericho with the blast of the shofar (Joshua 6:20).
– The watchman who stood upon Jerusalem’s walls blew the shofar (Ezekiel 33:3-6).
– The shofar is a reminder that G-d is sovereign (Psalm 47:5).
– The shofar was blown to signal the assembly of the Israelites during war (Judges 3:27; 2 Samuel 20:1).

(2.) The Wheat.

Feast of Weeks (Pentecost or Shavuot):
The “Wheat-Harvest” festival was later mandated to be held 7 weeks after the Passover (Lev 23:15-21; Num 28:26; Deut 16:9-12; 34:22). Also a commemoration of the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai (Exodus 19).

– The Torah was given to Israel with the sound of the shofar at Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:19).
– Seven shofarim are sounded when God judges the earth during the tribulation (Revelation 8-9).

(3.) The “Ingathering”.

Feast of Booths (Tabernacles or Sukkoth):
The “Ingathering” or “Fruit-Harvest” festival became a commemoration of the 40 years that the Hebrew wandered in the desert, living in temporary shelters like tents or “booths” (Lev 23:33-36, 39-43; Deut 16:13-15). In the Second-Temple period, it was an 8-day festival involving the imagery of water and light; water was brought daily from the Pool of Siloam (cf. John 9:1) up to the Temple and poured over the altar; light was provided by large lamps that were lit nightly in the temple courtyards. The eighth day of Sukkoth, considered the last and greatest day of the feast, included an assembly of all the people (Lev 23:36).

– The shofar will be blown at the time of the ingathering of the exiles of Israel to their place (Isaiah [Yeshayahu] 27:13).
– The shofar was blown to announce the Jubilee year on the Day of Attonement (Leviticus 25:9).

Michael the times and their fulfillment that you are presenting looks very possible.

In a very short period of time we should know if the beginning of all these prophecies is this year or not.

You have given us very thought provoking possibilities, thank you.

Yours in Christ

Jim Bramlett (16 July 2010)
Has the rapture date actually been revealed?

Dear friends:

This newsletter began about 15 years ago with the main purpose of declaring the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ and the rapture.  We have been true to that calling, and have added occasional commentary on other subjects of interest.

Not being a prophet, I have refrained from ever dogmatically declaring a specific rapture date, although I have forwarded or linked readers to what I considered reasonable biblical efforts at doing so.  Of course, none have been correct so far.  However, I have documented several Scripture passages that tell us such a date, or approximate date, is knowable in our day.  I believe that.  Past failures do not mean future failures.

If you are interested, a fascinating post on the “Rapture in the Air” Web site by someone named “CJ” makes a strong case for a new rapture date, and it is very near term. It is at http://pub48.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=4086901292&frmid=13&msgid=988419&cmd=show .

The writer’s biblical reasoning is worth a read, especially when we consider all that is going on in the world and how the world and even our own country is collapsing into unprecedented evil.

A related post is at http://pub48.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=4086901292&frmid=13&msgid=989483&cmd=show

I shall not destroy your fun and reveal that date to you.  You can enjoy finding out!  Seek and ye shall find!

Someone recently asked if God was going to reveal the rapture date why would He not choose someone like Billy Graham or other major leader to reveal it to.  My answer was that God typically chooses very unlikely vessels for His purposes.  That is His M.O., and He seems to enjoy it.  When Jesus first came, it was revealed to shepherds and not religious leaders.  For His disciples, He chose uneducated men, like fishermen, and not trained religious people.

Let us hope “CJ” is correct about the Blessed Hope.

Jim

Mr. Jim Bramlett posted this link in fivedoves.com today.

It is a very good article that explains why the Rapture must occur in the Month of July 2010 in the Jewish festival of Tu’B'Av.

Read the Comments after the article, they are very good and get your luggage ready for departure.
