April 17, 2010 Discussion of 7 Year Tribulation

This article explains the duration of the events of the Tribulation. Some posted articles claiming that the Tribulation is only 3 1/2 years long and this is a rebuttal to that position.

I take the position that is most logical from the flow of the narrative in Revelation and that is that it is seven years long and that the sevens are markers for the time-line as Lyle Cooper has diligently written.

Sorry Kevin but you can use many scriptures that seem to support your position and still be wrong. It does not mean that the scriptures you quoted are wrong but the use of them to proof your theory is not correct.

When in today’s article you say that the present believers are the subject of the prophesy of Daniel seventy weeks I think you are wrong and that it refers to Israel.

Lyle Cooper (17 Apr 2010)
Kevin Heckle (16 Apr 2010)  Response to Kevin about the full seven years

Dear Kevin,

I know you are familiar with Jesus’ statement to flee:

Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’[c] spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

We actually see this verse being fulfilled here:
Rev 12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

And here:

14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.

So where are these verses, in John’s narrative? Is John at the end of the week? No! Not at all! John is at the exact MIDPOINT of the week.

Please note that Rev. 11 has two more verses that give us the 3  1/2 year period of time. And Rev. 13, one more.  Each of these are of an event that will begin at the midpoint of the week, and go to the end of the week. So EACH of them are a strong HINT that John (and the Holy Spirit) are at the midpoint of the week here in chapters 11-13.

Now, Kevin, I want to share a personal experience with you.

One day, I was just minding my own business, reading in Daniel about the abomination happening in the “midst” of the week. The moment my eyes and mind got to the word “Midst,”  the Holy Spirit spoke to me saying, “you could find the exact midpoint ‘clearly marked’ in the book of Revelation.” I don’t mean I was having a dream. I was wide awake. I don’t mean I ate too much pizza: I had none. I  heard words. It was the voice of the Holy Spirit speaking to me. My spirit man answered Him:
“How would I find that?”

The Holy Spirit answered: “Whenever I mentioned an event that will start at the midpoint, and go to the end of the week, I always mentioned the 3 1/2 years. When you find these mentions of the 3 1/2 years, you will be very close to the exact midpoint.”

At this time, I already knew there were five different mentions of the 3 1/2 years: two as 1260 days, two as 42 months, and one as time, times and half of time. So I understood immediately what He was saying.

So I studied and meditated on chapters 11-13, where these five mentions of the 3 1/2 years were, for two or three months. Then one day, a “suddenly” happened to me. I was reading chapter 11, and suddenly noticed something very strange. John, in his narrative, is in the “midpoint intermission” in these chapters: he left off with the real-time events of the trumpets, and dropped into the midpoint intermission, to write about the things that must take place before the 7th trumpet can be sounded, and then before the vials can be poured out. (He does this same thing, an intermission, between the 6th and 7th seals also).

So I was reading along, trying to assimilate all that takes place during this intermission, when suddenly I saw that 11:14-15 were VERY unusual: they are real-time events, in the middle of an intermission! Actually, John drops out of the intermission and goes to real time for these two verses, (and the worship that follows), and then John is back in the intermission. These two verses just seemed to leap out at me. I almost shouted: “God is using the 7’s as markers!”

While studying, I came up with the title, “real time events” to mean, the 7 seals, the 7 trumpets, the 7 vials and the three woes, because in these, we can see the movement of time, as one after another of these events take place. Then, when John breaks from his real-time narrative, and goes into other themes, I called these “Intermissions.”  They are like a play, or drama, when the curtain closes. When the curtain closes, people are “rearranging the set” behind the curtain, to get ready for the next act. This is exact what John does. He breaks from the real-time narrative of the seals, after the 6th seal, because he MUST cover two events before the 7th seal can be broken. He is “rearranging the set,” if you will, getting ready for the 7th seal. He does the same thing between the 6th and 7th trumpet, but here does not get back to the real-time of the seals, trumpets and vials, until chapter 16. So John’s midpoint intermission is from chapter 10 all the way to chapter 15 – with the minor exception of the 7th trumpet, and the short “history lesson” of 12:1-5.

Just before the Holy Spirit left off speaking with me, He ended up by saying, “You could also find the entire 70th week ‘clearly marked.'”

So as soon as I realized that the 7th trumpet clearly marked the midpoint, I rushed to the 7th vial, to read: “…it is done (finished).” Then I knew for sure that God had used the 7’s as markers. I rushed to the 7th seal, and read about the silence for one half hour. Then I knew that God had marked the entire 70th week with the 7’s: the 7th seal starts the week, the 7th trumpet marks the exact midpoint, and the 7th vial closes the week. It came to me as revelation knowledge. I was not asking for it, but the Holy Spirit gave it to me.

He had said that when I find the mentions of the 3 1/2 years, I would be VERY close to the exact midpoint. In fact, the 7th trumpet is sounded after two mentions: the Gentiles that trample the court for 42 months, and the two witnesses that testify for 1260 days, and then before three mentions: The woman flees and is protected for 1260 days and for time, times and half of time, and finally, the beast has been given authority for 42 months. In each of these five, is an event that starts at the midpoint, and goes to the end of the week. Each one is therefore, a clue to the exact midpoint, just as the Holy Spirit said to me.

So, Kevin, this is a “this happened to me” story.  I know it was the Holy Spirit: it was not the first time He has spoken to me, and I know it will not be the last. I have learned to recognize His voice.  He did not give me something different from the word of God, rather, He pointed me TO the word of God, and explained it.

So, now you have a choice: you can believe this, or you can continue with your own beliefs.  I know this is the truth of the scriptures. The trumpets are in the first half of the week, and the vials are in the second half, with the 7th trumpet “marking” the exact midpoint of the week.

“70 Weeks Response to Rick Hedrick – “Let it flow..for Israel””

Response to Rick Hedrick – Let it flow..for Israel

I would first like to respond to your thoughts on Israel, and I quote:

“This 70 weeks prophecy was for the Jews and for Jerusalem (9:24,) and the “finishing of the transgression,” the “making an end of sins, the “reconciliation for iniquity, the “bringing in of everlasting righteousness,” the sealing up of the vision,” and the “anointing of the Most Holy” all have to do with the Jews and their holy city. This prophecy has nothing to do with Christ confirming a new covenant with mankind.  Verse 24 tells us very clearly the purpose of the prophecy, and any attempt to maneuver this prophecy away from God’s specific program for Israel is a grave mistake.”

The grave mistake is yours.

Who are Israelites?  Paul answers of his brethren:

Romans 9:4 – 9:8 Who are Israelites; to whom [pertaineth] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service [of God], and the promises; Whose [are] the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ [came], who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect.

Here is the answer Rick!

For they [are] not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the FLESH these [are] NOT the children of God: but the children of the PROMISE are counted for the seed.

I am a child of the promise by adoption, aren’t you?

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

If you don’t believe that Jesus confirmed a new covenant which caused the oblation and sacrifice to cease, maybe you should carefully take the time to understand and consider Paul’s commentary in Hebrews 7, 8 & 9 on Daniel 9.

Hebrews 7:22-24 & 27 By so much was Jesus made a SURETY of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood……Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did ONCE, when he offered up himself.

Hebrews 8:6-7 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first [covenant] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

The first system was an example:

Hebrews 9:9 & 15 Which [was] a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could NOT make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;….

Jesus (perfect) the fulfillment of the Law

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the REDEMPTION OF THE TRANSGRESSIONS (Dan 9:24)[that were] under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

His one-time sacrifice caused the inadequate gifts and sacrifices to cease forever:

Hebrews 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now ONCE in the end of the world hath he appeared to PUT AWAY SIN (Dan 9:24) by the sacrifice of himself.

As for the covenant’s description in Daniel 9 by the angel, the same calls it in 11:28 and 30 a HOLY covenant.  The antichrist’s heart shall be against it and he will have ‘intelligence’ with the APOSTATE church who has abandoned the Holy covenant.  Yet you would say the antichrist gives ‘strength’ to the covenant by confirming it for seven years.  Exactly how can the AC give strength to seven year covenant with the ‘Jews’, yet break it with the Jews at the midpoint causing their ordinances to cease.  That makes NO sense.

The Timeline

Detail described here:

457 BC – First Decree of Artaxerxes

444 BC – Second Decree of Artaxerxes

444 BC plus 62 weeks (434 years) comes to 10 BC

444 BC plus 63 weeks (441 years) comes to 3 BC

April 6, 17 BC Jesus was born between the 62nd and 63rd week from the second decree, I believe, two years before Herod’s death in 4 BC. The middle year between 10 and 3 BC was 6 BC in which Jesus was born. (10+3=13,  13/2 = 6.5)

The Messiah ‘cut-off’ is referring to either the umbilical cord (birth) or the circumcision.  Here is an example of the same exact word used in Daniel for ‘cut-off’(H3772):  Exodus 4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off (H3772) the foreskin of her son, and cast [it] at his feet. This word is used ONCE in Daniel.

The Bible says the Messiah would be ‘cut off’ after 62 weeks, NOT 69.  He is cut-off but NOT FOR HIMSELF.  The covenant circumcision instituted in Genesis 7:10-14 was between God and Abraham (plus sons) and was required of Abraham; the Covenant wasn’t between the Lord and Himself.

4 BC Herod dies.

25 AD Jesus about 30 and is baptized with the Spirit of God descending upon Him like a DOVE, which is THE ANOINTING!!!!

69 weeks (483 years) from the FIRST DECREE of Artaxerxes in 457 BC comes to 25 AD when Jesus would have been about 30 years old!

Daniel 9 says that from the decree of Artaxerxes until the MESSIAH (which is interpreted as the anointed or the Christ) would be seven and sixty-two weeks, which total 69. Anointing signifies with the Spirit of God.

One event to occur in Dan 9:24’s seventy weeks:  ANOINT THE MOST HOLY!!!  JESUS IS THE KING!  God declared it in 25 AD; ‘This is my Son in whom I am well pleased.”

457 BC plus 69.5 weeks marks the crucifixion and resurrection in 29 AD.

29 AD Passover – marks 3.5 years after the anointing of Jesus.  His crucifixion is the once and for all perfect sacrifice putting an end to sins and bringing in an everlasting righteousness!

Friday, the ‘day of preparation’ BEFORE the Sabbath, Jesus is crucified.

April 15, 29 AD – Exactly 34 solar years after his birth, at the 9th hour on the day of preparation, Jesus gives up the ghost, laying down His own life.  NO ONE CUT IT OFF!

Some would say the 70 Weeks continued until the stoning of Steven or when Jesus appeared to Saul/Paul 3.5 years after the crucifixion-resurrection.   That could be true, implying there is no GAP in time of the 70 weeks of Daniel and that the 490 years were determined upon Israel (Daniel’s ‘thy people’) ended.

Presently, my studies lead me to believe that the final 3.5 years is that timeframe when that ‘determined shall be poured upon the desolate’; those things listed in Revelation, culminating in the FINAL PROOF: Daniel’s ‘seal up the vision and the prophecy’, which is the PROMISE of the covenant.  The everlasting righteousness shall be brought in by Jesus’ literal and bodily return, confirming to ALL that HE ALONE IS LORD.  Ever knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that JESUS IS THE LORD OF LORDS!!!!!

Currently there has been a lot of discussions at the site about the time of the Rapture of the Church. One of the positions state that the Rapture will occur at the spring festivals. Two proponents of this position put the Rapture at the Feast of First Fruits which occurs three days past the Feast of Passover.

Lora Shipley and Ola Ilori assume that the Jewish Feasts as presently celebrated start the Sacred Jewish year wrongly. A few days back an article was written to this effect that puts the start of the Feasts to correspond to the start of the year with the first new moon at the constellation of Aquarius (Please find the study posted here in this blog to make sure that my interpretation of the article is correct). F.M. Riley also beliefs that the Rapture will occur up to the Feast of Pentecost.  Some have stated that there will be two Raptures.

The bottom line is that these discussions are all instrumentals in bringing more points of view to different passages of scripture. Some of these concepts are very complicated and may tend to confuse rather than shed light to the thruth.

If you are a believer with little knowledge of scripture then it is just important to know that your salvation is guaranteed by the sacrifice of Jesus and that He is coming for you very soon!!!!

According to this article the Rapture is on May 1 of this year and it gives a countdown time for the dates.

Ola Ilori (17 Apr 2010)

Hi Doves,
I believe we have been instructed to observe the Lord’s Supper on the the 14th of Nisan, ONCE A YEAR, with THE HOPE that the resurrection/translation of the saints will occur, THREE DAYS LATER, on the 16th of Nisan.
The 16th of Nisan is the Day of First-fruits.
This is why Paul writes,
“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you:
that the Lord Jesus on the same night (eve of the 14th of Nisan) in which He was betrayed took bread…
In the same manner He took the cup after Supper…
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death TILL HE COMES. (1Cor.11:23-26)
The Lord’s Supper falls on the 29th of April 2010.
This is 14th of Nisan for this Year.
In a Jewish Day the 12 hours of night are followed by the 12 hours of Day.
Paul writes,
“For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the Feast…with unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1Cor.5:7,8)
In John we read,
“Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem…And He said to those who sold doves,
“Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”
…So the Jews answered and said to Him,
“What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?”
Jesus answered and said to them,
“Destroy this temple, and IN THREE DAYS I WILL RAISE IT UP.”
…He was speaking of the Temple of His Body.” (John 2:13 – 21)
In the above passage the Lord has given us the pattern for the resurrection that hopefully will occur on the 1st of May 2010!
The Lord is showing us that the power of the resurrection will be released or poured out in three phases.
These three phases will occur over a period of three Days.
This is why three trumpets will sound.
The Prophet Hosea new that it would take three Days for the power of the resurrection to be fully poured out.
For he writes,
“After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.” (6:2)
I believe Paul new that there would be three trumpets that would sound over a period of three days.
He only mentions the third and last trumpet.
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1Cor.15:52)
By knowing the exact time the Lord died we can know when the first trumpet will sound.
For we read,
“Now it was about the sixth hour (12 Noon),
and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour (1500 Hours)
…And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said,
“Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My Spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.” (Luke 23:44,46)
It was after the Lord breathed His last at 1500 hours on the 14th of Nisan in 34 AD, that the FIRST TRUMPET SOUNDED.
The same thing is going to happen again!!!
THE FIRST TRUMPET of the resurrection is going to SOUND at 1500 hours (Jerusalem time), on the 29th April 2010!
The sounding of the first trumpet will be followed by the sounding of THE SECOND TRUMPET, four hours and 18 minutes later at 19:18 hours (Jerusalem time) at Sunset.
This was when the passover lamb was eaten along with unleavened bread in Jerusalem at the time of Christ.
I believe we are to observe the Lord’s Supper AFTER the sounding of the first and second trumpets, on the 29th of April 2010!
For 24 hours later, on the 30th of April 2010, at 19:18 hours (Jerusalem time) at Sunset, THE LAST TRUMPET WILL SOUND!!!
This means that by 19:19 hours, on Saturday, the 1st of May 2010 on the Day of First-fruits, we will be in our glorified bodies, STANDING before our Lord and God, Jesus Christ, as the first-fruits of His creatures!!!
For we read,
“Of His (the Lord’s) own will He brought us forth by the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.” (James 1:18)
“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN.” (Luke 21:36)
In Summary here is the timing for the sounding of the trumpets and how much time we have until the sounding of each:
1st Trumpet
1500 hrs Jerusalem time. 29th of April 2010 (14th of Nisan)
2nd Trumpet
19:18 hrs Jerusalem time (At Sunset). 29th April 2010 (15th of Nisan)
3rd Trumpet
19:18 hrs Jerusalem time (At Sunset). 30th April 2010. (16th of Nisan)
