“Second Coming of Christ during the Fall Feasts”

In Leviticus 23, we read about 7 appointed feasts that God gave to Israel. These are:

1. Feast of Passover (14th day of first month)

2. Feast of Unleavened Bread (15th day of first month)

3. Feast of Firstfruits (day after the Sabbath after Unleavened Bread)

4. Feast of Weeks or Pentecost (7 weeks after Firstfruits)

5. Feast of Trumpets (1st day of 7th month)

6. Day of Atonement (10th day of 7th month)

7. Feast of Tabernacles (15th to 22nd day of 7th month)

The first four festivals that God ordained in Leviticus 23 have been fulfilled in Christ’s first coming. Jesus died on Passover, was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, rose on the Feast of Firstfruits, and the Holy Spirit came on the Feast of Pentecost. The final 3 feasts will be fulfilled during the Second Coming of Christ. These festivals always take place in the fall and total 22 days from start to finish. They will most likely all be fulfilled within the same year, just as the first four were all fulfilled within the same year.

1. The Feast of Trumpets will most likely find its fulfillment in the final Rapture of the Church: “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the TRUMPET call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” It is very likely that there will also be a Rapture of the Church before the end of the final 7 years. Most Christians believe there is a Rapture before the “Great Tribulation”, which some believe is 7 years in length and others believe is 3 ½ years long. Most Christians believe that this first Rapture can take place at any time and that we must be prepared and stay ready so that Jesus doesn’t leave us behind to suffer the Tribulation with the rest of the world.
2. Day of Atonement: “Seventy sevens are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to ATONE for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness and to anoint the most holy.” Daniel 9:24. The first 69 weeks of Daniel are separated from the 70th week. Each “week” represents a period of 7 years. The final 7 years of human history will end with Jesus being anointed the most holy over all the earth, sin will cease and the Day of Atonement shall be fulfilled. The Jews consider the Day of Atonement, or Yom Kippur, to be the most holy day of the year.
3. Feast of Tabernacles: “After this I looked and in Heaven the temple, that is, the TABERNACLE of the Testimony, was opened. Out of the temple came the 7 angels with the 7 plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the 7 angels 7 bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives forever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one could enter the temple until the 7 plagues of the 7 angels were completed.” The Feast of Tabernacles is an 8 day feast, the final day being a day of rest. The Jews call this the LAST GREAT DAY of the wrath of God. It is during this feast that the Israelites would take palm branches and wave them before the Lord.

These final 3 Feasts have yet to be fulfilled and will be fulfilled by Jesus at His Second Coming to earth. Next week’s teaching…the THREE MAJOR signs that Jesus gave us to point us to the end of the final 7 years!!!
