Gerlinda (16 Aug 2011) “Rick Perry’s dangerous Muslim compromise”

The questions to ask is if this man is so uninformed about Islam as to befriend such an important Muslim he at best can be judged not qualified to run for anything at all. Is he another wolf in sheep skin trying to fleece the sheep?

Rick Perry’s dangerous Muslim compromise

Yes, I know all about the glowing things said about this man’s goose-bump raising speech.  Like all politicians now days, they seem to know all the right things to say but whom they associate with speaks  much more truthfully than mere words, doesn’t it?  The old saying,  “Birds of a Feather Flock Together’.

Eliane B (16 Aug 2011) “Sexual preference and holiness”

A very good article that deals with the denials that all who are in sin convince themselves of. God defines what is sinful and not us.

The sins of the flesh tend to be the ones that are more justified due to their nature. Until sin is recognized and repented the person that is in it is in rebellion against God who defined it. I which there was a simple answer to give but the article by Eliane B. is about the most tactful and to the point that I have seen. Very good job in such a difficult subject.

We are all sinners in need of mercy and grace and the blood of our Redeemer Jesus to obtain salvation. The goal is to sin not, but if we sin to repent and ask the Holy Spirit to change our nature more and more.

Eliane B (16 Aug 2011)
Sexual preference and holiness

In response to

All true believers in their/our lives fight against some kind of fleshly temptation and deal with a tendency to sin in one way or another. None of us gets to be completely holy before our final redemption (transformation of our body to incorruptibleness and immortality).

Some of us might have adulterous desires (or even actual adulterous practices), others might live in fornication (moving from partner to partner before or outside marriage), others might have a lust for teenagers or even have pedophile inclination, and other have a sexual desire for people of the same gender.  Others might have the blessing of a relatively happy marriage but be addicted to pornography, for example. Others might not have any of those tendencies but struggle with other challenges that might not be of sexual nature, like greediness, covetousness, idolatry, gossip or telling lies, for example.

All of us have been called to holiness and we all must turn from sin and ask Jesus to forgive us and to help us overcome our flesh. All types of sexual immorality are seen as grievous sins in the sight of God. The position of the human law has absolutely no interference in how our Creator views sin and its effects. So it doesn’t matter if some country’s law allows or even stimulates actions that the Bible considers inappropriate and not pleasing to God.

Here is a link about what the Word of God says about same sex marriage:

It’s in prayer and love that I write these lines. Some readers here might struggle against some sin that they have a lot of difficulty fleeing from and have become enslaved to. But one thing is to struggle and acknowledge what is wrong. Another thing is to consider a sin something normal and harmless. We should not celebrate sin or deny that something is a sin when the Bible plainly says that it is, like many other sins that people prefer to ignore (like adultery, fornication and pornography, realities that unfortunately have infiltrated the Church). No wonders that many prayers don’t get any higher than the ceiling.

I pray that all here in this forum that have difficulties overcoming any kind of sin and that acknowledge that sin is not right in the sight of God, that we all repent and are given power to fight against carnality, so that we become true overcomers, regardless of our sexual inclinations.

Notice Paul’s testimony concerning the very real possibility of deliverance of any immoral behavior:

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, …shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

—I Corinthians 6:9-11 (KJV)

When there is true repentance and sin is forsaken, then such a person should be lovingly received into the fellowship of believers, like any other repentant and believing sinner. This is the example given in the case of the incestuous Corinthian:

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. Wherefore I beseech you that you would confirm your love toward him.

—II Corinthians 2:6-8 (KJV)

Do homosexuals need to become heterosexuals? No! Scripture never states nor implies all people must be heterosexual; it does say explicitly, however, that we are to avoid all forms of sexual immorality, which includes (but isn’t limited to) homosexual practices. True believers should not persist in sin.

I pray that this forum continues to be a place that we all seek for repentance, forgiveness and holiness.

When we really know Jesus, we have a life-changing experience. Jesus said in Luke:

Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do what I say?

Someone once put it this way: “No Jesus, no change. Know Jesus, know change.”

If we try to overcome our sinful tendencies, that’s a good sign that Christ is working in our life.

God is the only one who truly knows our hearts. But if Christ has become our Lord, then the Holy Spirit will begin to deal with the sin of immorality (or any other sin) in our lives.

If you don’t agree with me, I really don’t want to start a thread or do anything else to convince anyone that sexual immorality is a sin. I just wanted to remind what Word of God says, for our own benefit. The Lord is coming, friends. Let’s pray according to Luke 21:34-36:

“And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

In Christ,

Luis Vega (16 Aug 2011) “THE JOURNEY OF FAITH” which brings us to 2011

Luis Vega (16 Aug 2011)

Is Abraham’s birth-date related to Israel’s re-birth & the
Presentation of the Bride?

For he (Abraham) was looking forward to The City [New Jerusalem] with
foundations, whose Architect & Builder is GOD. Hebrews 11:10

In sharing a short study on Abraham; (see chart below), my current
studies keep coming up with the year 1948 and 2011 in relation to some
equations and reference dates. Your discernment is asked as I present
this for your review. I realize that there are alternate views on the
Birth of Abraham & just when the Exodus happened and Creation for that
matter and I am not trying to date-set or am alluding that 2011is the
Rapture; but just a correlation possibly. I have also transposed the
Land Grand of Israel promised to Abraham by God, from River to River
and his journey plotted. The Rivers are portrayed in modern Israel’s
map along with the Star of David. There are studies that show that it
is not actually of Hebrew origins nor of David himself. Also there are
some charts as to the genealogy of Christ from Abraham’s bloodline etc.

– I am choosing and using 1948 BC then as the year-marker according to
the Masoretic Bible

– Given this date, all other date/events are extrapolated from that
reference point

– I am also subscribing to a 6000 Creation calendar count alone side
the Gregorian modern one

– I am using the 365 day Gregorian modern year count for the timeline

I want to bring out several points to your attention graphically:

1.Counting 1948 years BC you land on Abraham’s birth-date, sure it can
be pure coincidence but is there a significance is profound and can it
be related to our day?

2.IF so, Israel’s re-birth in1948 could hold the key to the Beginning
of Daniel’s last Week; would the 70-year time of completing
‘suffering’ be fulfilled in our generation?

3.There were about a 50 years overlap when Noah was alive & most
likely knew of Abraham’s calling. Interesting that Christ warned that
the days preceding his Return would be as ‘In the Days of Noah’…..

4.IF you interject the numerical factors of 483 and 70 from the 1948
BC benchmark year from Abraham’s major life events, you end up with 2011!

5.It is a numerical factor year also in that from 1948 AD +70 years of
extend of what Jews accept as the time to complete ’suffering’ is also

6.The Bondage in Egypt foretold by God to Abraham lasted 480 years &
it so happens to be the year-count Daniel gave for the coming of
Messiah to Jerusalem.

7.If the types of what God did are the same (sacrificing of Son),
Abraham also brought the Bride to Isaac! Will now the LORD ‘fetch’ The
Bride for His Son at the end of the 63rd year—the year that the Temple
was finished!?

As the Father is to present a Bride to Christ, so too Abraham sought a
Bride for Isaac. As Rebecca was taken out of her land, then the ‘Year’
of that Presentation to the ‘son’ could be tied to the 1948 Benchmark
year. Abraham’s birth then does foreshadow the re-birth of Israel in
so doing put the “Blessed Hope’ or Rapture in queue. The Presentation
of the Bride to Christ (Rapture) could likely then take place within
the 70-Year generation of ‘suffering’ of Israel to be completed by 2018.

So IF Abraham birth does correlate to Modern Israel’s birth, & the
Presentation of the Bride to the Son mutually –then from AD 63 when
the Temple was completed; the completion of the 63rd Anniversary in
2011 of Israel’s re-birth since 1948 might shadow then the completion
of God’s ‘Spiritual’ Temple, the Bride of Christ this year!…the one
Abraham was looking forward to by Faith as he prepared a bride for his
son; that City, the New Jerusalem that John in the book of Revelation
saw coming down as a Bride ready for her Groom? Christians now as did
Abraham are too looking forward to the New Jerusalem, with
foundations, whose Architect & Builder is GOD. We shall see.

Aug 16, 2011 The fig tree and the Rapture of the Church

A very good post showing the parable of the fig tree and the summer harvest as related to the Rapture of the church.

Thank you JeanStepnoski

Jean Stepnoski (16 Aug 2011)
“A Parable of the Fig Tree, The Doors of Summer, Figs, Finest Grapes, Olive Oil”

Dear Doves,
In Matthew 24 Messiah/Christ has valuable things to share in verses 32-33. “Now learn a parable of the fig tree: when its branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that Summer is near; so likewise when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.” We need to look to when Summer begins and also to when Summer is complete and it ends for Israel! When is it at the doors? There are only two times when Summer is near, at the doors (gates) for Israel, either ancient or modern. When do the doors to Summer open and then close? They open at the Summer Solstice and close at the Autumn Equinox. We are past the opening of the doors of Summer for Israel for 2011. For Israel and other countries North of the equator, the doors to Summer close on 9-23-2011 at 9:04 Universal Time. This will be 2 days before the lineup of 6 planets on 9-25-2011, of Saturn, Mercury, Sun, Elenin, Earth, and Uranus. It will be 3 days after the vote on “Palestine” by member nations at the United Nations General Assembly. The doors to Summer, to their closing for Israel, happens 5 days before the beginning of The Feast of Trumpets on 9-28 to 29, according to the Hillel Calendar. We see events linked for 2, 3, and 5 days from 9-23-2011. This is close to the numbers of Vincent Tan in his experience with an angel, which were 234.
When is the Season for ripe FIGS for Israel? The first figs in Spring are premature figs. The fig leaves begin to bud as Summer begins. However, the Fig Season harvest is August-September. The Fig Season, from leaves to ripe fruit harvested happens between the opening and the closing of THE DOORS TO SUMMER for Israel! The article and chart at is valuable. Can we assume that the Summer Fruits in Israel will be harvested before the doors to Summer close on 9-23-2011? Will the grapes, pomegranates, and figs have come due and been harvested before this date and Tishri 1? The key crop and its final harvest of most importance would seem to be The Figs! Tishri is the month symbolic of the conclusion and fullness of annual harvest for each and all of the 7 crops (species) of Israel. The only crop to continue from September to November is olives. But some of the olives would come to maturity and be harvested by The Feast of Tabernacles. September begins the Season for Olives and the Olive Oil. In days of old,  there would be fresh and newly pressed Olive Oil for the Lamps of the Maidens! The merchants would have olive oil to sell! The finest grapes have been harvested, for the finest vintage wine!
If the season for The Blessed Hope is the time between the opening and closing of THE DOORS (GATES) TO SUMMER, THE FIGS SEASON, THE FINEST GRAPES, and new OLIVE OIL IN LAMPS TO LIGHT THE WAY TO THE WEDDING, then we have clear dates before which the event must happen. The date of 9-22-2011 until midnight is the last full day of Summer for Israel. After 9-23-2011 at 11:04 in the morning, for Israel, Summer is over. The doors to it have opened and then closed. Will The Blessed Hope occur and the departure (apostacia) of the bride/ body of Messiah/Christ happen on or before 9-22-2011? We shall see. Come quickly, Lord…

With Love and Shalom,
