July 16, 2017 Are Jesus Commandments equal to the ten Commandments?

This is an introduction to the excellent study done by Pastor FM Riley about the commandments of the Lord.

Yes we are living in the last days and the time is very short for the coming of Jesus at the Rapture.

One question that is important for every living person to ask is what happens when we die. There are many answers that man have come up with to this question and all of them are wrong except one. It is the most important question that any person needs to answer correctly.

The answer to this question is only found in the Bible, not in the Qumran, the BahaVagitta, Greek philosophy or the myriad religions and writings of man.

Every single person alive is lost and needs salvation and this salvation can only be found in the belief that Jesus Christ came to this world to give His live in lieu of ours. By His death at the cross He paid and satisfied God’s  Justice and the penalty imposed of death, both physical and spiritual, for the sins or transgressions of every one of us.

May you read these words and dig deeply in the Word to find the thruth that the world is hiding from everyone.

The Commandments of Christ!

The Importance of Keeping
The Commandments of Christ!
By Pastor F. M. Riley
July 14, 2017
“If you love Me, keep My commandments,” John 14:15.

“He that hath My commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth Me: and he that loveth Me shall be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him,” John 14:21.

“If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love.
These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
This is My commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you,” John 15:10-12.
Introduction
How many sermons have you heard lately on the subject of “the commandments of Christ?”  D-u-h-h!   That what I thought!  I haven’t heard a preacher preach about or emphasize the commandments of Christ in years.  Maybe this is one reason why the churches and the ranks of Christianity today are in such a state of apostasy [falling away], and there is such a lack of true Christian love among those who “profess” to be God’s people.  Well…??
The Lord Jesus Christ Himself made it quite clear in these Scriptures that the believers who truly love the Lord, and who frequently experience the Father’s love for them, are those who “keep My commandments,” John 14:21.
And…..those believers who continue to “abide” in the love of the Lord, and in whom the “joy” of the Lord “remains,” and is “full,” are those believers who “keep My commandments,” John 15:10-11.
Since this is the case, plainly stated by the Lord Himself, then why do we seldom ever hear preachers preaching on and emphasizing the “commandments of Christ?”  Is it possible that many preachers today don’t even know what the “commandments of Christ” are?  Could that be the case?    Well…??
Now our readers should know  what this study is about.
A Clear Distinction
I want every reader to be aware that in speaking about the “commandments of Christ,”  I am not referring to the Ten Commandments, or the Law, given to the nation and people of Israel.  If one is “rightly dividing the Word of Truth,” they will pay attention to the context of Scripture, and see who is being spoken to in any given passage.  Christ Jesus was not addressing the nation and people of Israel here in John 14 – 15.  He was clearly speaking to His New Testament [Covenant] Church and disciples.
Indeed there were Laws and commandments given to Old Testament Israel and the Jewish people as they lived under the Old Covenant of Law.  But there were also commandments given to the Lord’s Church and people who live under the New Covenant of God’s GRACE in Christ.
These are two completely different dispensations of time, and two different peoples.   The two sets of commandments are not the same, are quite distinct from each other, and should never be mixed together by true believers living today.
A Clear Statement
The Apostle Paul is explicitly stated in the inspired Word to be God’s chosen Apostle to the Gentiles, Acts 9:1-15.  Then in the writings of Paul in 1 Corinthians 14:37, we read, “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”
In the past, I have been asked by some who wanted to quibble, where we can find the “commandments of the Lord?”  They have told me that we know exactly where to go in God’s Word to find the Ten Commandments given to Israel, but where are the “commandments of the Lord?”  Folks, do you believe in the Divine Inspiration of God’s Word?  If you really do,  then you should have no problem believing Paul’s statement.
It is explicitly stated that Paul’s writings “…..are the commandments of the Lord” for all New Covenant believers.  Now receive this truth!
One Vitally Important Commandment
Now that the foundation for this study has been laid, I want to point out and emphasize in this study, just one of the Lord’s  “commandments” as set forth in the writings of the Apostle Paul…….
In Paul’s writings to the young preacher, Timothy, the Apostle Paul wrote…..
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth,” 2 Timothy 2:15.
Dear readers, this is not simply the commandment of the Apostle Paul to the young preacher, Timothy.  Oh no!   According to 1 Corinthians 14:37, this is one of the Lord’s commandments to every true believer who claims to be a part of the Lord’s New Covenant Church and people.  Are you listening?  Then why is this commandment being seriously ignored today by many who “profess” to be God’s people?
Folks, I have been in the Lord’s ministry for now 63 years, and in all of these years I have never previously seen such Biblical illiteracy and outright ignorance of God’s Word among those claiming to be “Christians” as I am seeing today.  Why…??
The Rabbit’s Foot
I am personally convinced that the reason for this ignorance of the Word of God, on the part of “professing” Christian people, is that the Bible has become simply a superstitious relic to many.  Nearly everyone who claims to be a “Christian” wants a copy of the Bible in their home, even if it just sits on a shelf gathering dust.  Of course many still carry a Bible to church services, even if they seldom open it, and pay little attention to what it says.  Like the proverbial, and totally useless, “rabbit’s foot,” a Bible is just nice to have around.  Like the rabbit’s foot, the Bible has become a “good luck” charm.  Sic!
Those true believers who do seriously study the Bible today, know that we are living in “the last days” prophesied by the Lord Jesus Himself, and the prophetic Scriptures clearly predicted that a great “falling way” would come in this very time, 2 Thessalonians 2:3.  Folks, it is here!   We have arrived!  And the serious lack of Bible study on the part of many today who “profess” to be Christians is clear evidence of the “falling away” which has come upon the churches and God’s people.
An Exposition of the Lord’s Command
In order to emphasize the seriousness of the Lord’s “commandments,” as well as the benefits of observing them, let’s just carefully examine the “commandment” of the Lord recorded in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”
[1]   “Study”…..The very first word in this Scripture is the word “study.”  This word is translated from the Greek word, “spoudazo.”  This Greek word literally means, “to be eager, to make every effort, to do one’s best.”  See Thayer’s Greek Lexicon, page 585. Strong’s No. 4704.  Wow!
In other words, if one wants to obey this command of the Lord, they should eagerly be devoting time and effort to the study of God’s Word.  How many are doing this today?
I have actually had “Christian” people tell me that they just don’t have time to read my Bible Studies, or even to study the Bible.  I am made to wonder if such people think they will have time to die, when their “appointed time” comes?  Some folks need a real adjustment to their priorities in life.  Matthew 6:33 is still in the Bible!
I was born to Christian parents, and brought up in a Christian home.  In our home we had regular Bible study and prayer, in addition to what we received when we attended church services.  How often do you see this being practiced in “Christian” homes today?   Well…??
Dear readers, the inspired Word of God is the most wonderful and valuable book on the face of the earth today, and yet it is likely the most neglected book, even in the homes and lives of many who “profess” to be Christians.  And that brings up the next point…..
[2]    “…to shew thyself approved unto God.”   In the Greek text, this expression literally means “to put one’s self on display.”  The Lord Jesus explicitly told His disciples in Acts 1:8, “…..ye shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  In other words, every true believer is supposed to display the reality and life of the Lord Jesus Christ in their own life, as they live before others.   There is simply no way to do this, seperate and apart from one’s life being permeated by the serious STUDY of the Word of God. The Apostle Peter said that even when a believer speaks,  they are to speak “…..as the oracles of God,” 1 Peter 4:11.   We might put it this way…..a true believer should be a walking, talking, “witness” of the  Lord Jesus Christ in everything we do and say every day.  When a lost person, for whatever the reason, has dealings with us, they should see the Lord Jesus living in us, and be convinced that we are indeed “approved of God.”
Caution!   We do not study God’s Word to boast about how much we know.  Rather, we should study God’s Word with a grateful and humble heart, thankful for His mercy in revealing Himself to us through His Word.   And it is Christ Jesus who needs to shine forth in our contact with others, who are lost and need the saving grace of the Lord Jesus.
STUDY God’s Word until it becomes obvious to others that the Spirit of the Lord is in you and upon you.  PERIOD!
[3]    “…..a workman that needeth not to be ashamed.”
Notice the word, “workman.”   True, Bible believing, Christianity is not for the lazy.  Every true believer should be a worker.  Someone, in other words, who takes this business of “witnessing” to lost men and women, boys and girls, seriously.  While we believers most certainly are not saved by our works [Ephesians 2:9], yet being a faithful “witness”  requires work, sometimes very hard work.  It takes time and effort, and sometimes money, to get others to come to Christ for salvation.   Is it worth the effort to win one of your own loved ones to Christ?   Be careful how you answer.  The Lord God is listening!  Matthew 12:36-37.
The rest of this statement is, “…that needth not to be ashamed.”  Keep in mind that this is tied into the opening word in the Scripture, “study.”  In other words, when some lost person comes to you, seeking information about God and His Word, as a believer, you should have studied God’s Word enough to  be able to answer their questions.  If you cannot, then you have reason “to be ashamed.”
One of the saddest things I ever heard was a deacon in a Baptist church admitting that a certain lost person had come to him, literally stopping him in the field where he was plowing, and asking him how to be saved?   The deacon’s answer to the man?   He told the man that he did not rightly know what to tell him, but he would speak to his pastor and get back to the man.   When I left that area, that man had never inquired of anyone again about the salvation of his soul.  This just broke my heart, and I prayed earnestly for the man and for the deacon.  Folks, that deacon had good reason to be “ashamed.”
[4]  Today, almost everyone has a theory or opinion about God’s Word, but how many “professing Christians” are able to “rightly divide” the Holy Word, preaching or teaching the Word for what it actually and literally says?
This is the last phrase in this Scripture, “rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  Folks, every statement in the Bible does not apply to you.  Every statement in the Bible does not apply to Israel, or to the Church, or to the time in which we are living.  Correctly sorting out who the Bible is speaking to, what period of time the Bible is referring to, and what the Bible is speaking about, is known as “rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  The inspired Word is “divided” into different time periods for different peoples, deals with different peoples in different ways, and sets forth different plans and purposes which the Lord God wants accomplished by the peoples He is dealing with at certain periods in human history.  No, this is not difficult to sort out and understand.  All it requires is serious diligent STUDY on the part of true believers.
It is also a plainly stated “commandment” of Christ, in His inspired Word.  So why are so many “professing” Christians ignoring or neglecting to obey this “commandment” today?   Well…??
The Parable of the Talents
In Matthew 25:14-30 the Lord Jesus gave what is commonly referred to as “The Parable of the Talents.”  In this parable each of the Lord’s servants was entrusted with the Lord’s “goods,” according to their ability to use them, 25:14-15.  Two of the Lord’s servants faithfully used what the Lord had given them, and were rewarded for their faithfulness.
But one of the servants was afraid [1 John 4:18], and failed to faithfully use what the Lord had entrusted to him.  When the time then came to receive his rewards [the Bema judgment, 2 Corinthians 5:10], that servant was not only “ashamed,” but had taken from him even that which had been entrusted to him, 25:28-30.
I don’t think any true believer wants this to happen to them, yet it easily can.   If a believer refuses to get serious about the STUDY of the Word of God, then there is no way they are going to be the “witness” for Christ, that the Lord intended for each of His people to be.
The principle set forth in an Old Testament passage spoken to Israel, contains a great truth for our readers right here, “…..Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord?  Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams,” 1 Samuel 15:22.   Selah!
2 Timothy 2:15 sets forth a very clear “commandment” of the Lord God for His people living today.  How many of God’s people today are faithfully obeying this “commandment?”  The choice is up to the reader.  Obey the Lord, or suffer the penalty for your disobedience!

June 17, 2017 Happy Fathers day tomorrow to all the readers families

Tomorrow we celebrate fathers day in the USA.

All readers who are fathers and those whose husbands are fathers must feel proud of the obligation that comes with the title. We all have physical fathers and some are adopting fathers. Joseph, Mary’s husband was the adoptive father of our Lord Jesus Christ and is a perfect example to all who are fathers of adopted children like I am.

We must remember that we are all adopted children of God whom we call Abba and rejoice in the fact that by election He chose us to be His children.

Let us give thanks to our fathers as they are the ones that prepare the next generation that follows in the path of righteousness set up in the scriptures.

Happy fathers day .

May 7, 2017 The soon coming one world kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ

The whole world of today is involved in a constant struggle to impose a one world government as the elite try to steer the Nations to relinquish their nationalities and into submitting to a one world government under the rule of a dictator whose body is indwell by Satan.

The struggle can be seen in France today who is electing a president and one of the two running is a globalist versus the other a nationalist.

Whatever the outcome of that election the Bible states that eventually Satan will have his say in implanting this infamous one world government that will last seven years and that will be destroyed at the coming of Jesus Christ to set up His glorious Kingdom beautifully described below by FM Riley.

The Glorious Kingdom of Christ: Part Four

The Glorious
Kingdom of Christ
Part Four
Continued from Part Three

By Pastor F. M. Riley
April 15, 2017
“After this manner therefore pray ye:  Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven,”
Matthew 6:9-10.

Introduction
Part Three of this series of studies was brought to a close with Christ Jesus entering the glorious millennial Temple as envisioned by Ezekiel in Ezekiel 43:1-7.  This study will resume where the previous study left off…….
God’s Kingdom on Earth
Christ Jesus entering the Millennial Temple, approximately seven years after the end of the Tribulation period,  will perhaps be the most glorious event in human history since the resurrection of the Lord. This event will usher in the Kingdom of Christ on earth, the most wonderful kingdom which will have ever existed on earth in all the history of mankind.  And it will be the Lord’s answer to the longing in the hearts of His own Jewish people throughout the centuries, and the longing and prayers of New Covenant believers in this present dispensation, for God’s Kingdom and will to be “done in earth, as it is in heaven,” Matthew 6:9-10.  Glory to God!  Praise the Lord!  Hallelujah!
For the first time in human history, there will be a government over mankind that will be totally righteous and incorruptible.  The government will be Christ Jesus Himself as King, ruling over all of mankind upon the earth,  then serving under Christ in every position of authority on earth, will be a true New Covenant believer, one who was once saved by grace, born-again” of the Holy Spirit, resurrected and glorified, and who will therefore be sinless and incorruptible, Daniel 4:3; 7:13-14; 7:18; 7:22; 7:27; Zechariah 14:5; 1 Corinthians 15:49; 15:51-58; Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Thessalonians 3:13; 2 Timothy 2:11-12; Revelation 4:4; 5:8-10; 19:13-15; 20:6; 22:3-5.   Glory to God!
Mankind on the earth will finally have a righteous and just government ruling over them, not for just a “term of office,” but for all eternity.  Praise the Lord!
Dear readers, this will guarantee that the corruption that has inevitably slipped into even the best of human governments in the past,  will never happen again in all of the eternal ages to come.  Glory to God!
The “time element” when Christ will enter the Millennial Temple and begin His reign, will be seven years after the end of the Tribulation period, likely at the beginning of the 8th year.  At that time the earth will have been totally cleansed of every wicked and incorrigible unbeliever [Psalm 37:9-10], of every dead body and bone, and of every man made item that might entice anyone still in their natural body into sin, causing them to turn away from serving the Lord, Matthew 13:41-42.
In essence, what happened to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, causing them to disobey the Lord and bringing the curse of sin upon mankind, will never happen again in all of the eternal ages to come.   From the time the Lord Jesus Christ enters the Millennial Temple to begin His reign, He will be ruling over all earthly kingdoms in absolute righteousness and peace.  Glory to God!
And how will this effect the entire earth and those living upon it?  Let’s go to God’s Word and see…….
GREAT EARTH CHANGES
Topography and Geography…..The land masses of the earth will no longer appear as they do today.  The inspired Word is quite clear that during the Tribulation period, the high towering, snow capped, mountain ranges that we see on the earth today will be shaken down, Psalm 46:2-3; Isaiah 2:12-14; 2:19-21; 41:15; 42:15; 54:10; Jeremiah 4:24; Ezekiel 38:20; Micah 1:4; Nahum 1:5; Habakkuk 3:6.  During this shaking, islands and mountains, and perhaps entire continents, will be moved, Revelation 6:14; 16:20,  This does not mean that there will no longer be any mountains, for there will always be mountains on the earth, but not the extremely high and jagged mountains that we see today.  The debris from the high mountains being shaken down, will literally fill up the deep gashes, canyons, and valleys that are on the earth today, Isaiah 40:4; Luke 3:5.  The surface of the earth will then be mostly gentle rolling hills, absolutely lovely to behold, and just right for the growth of abundant trees, grass, and other vegetation, and for farming and producing the food that redeemed mankind on the earth will need during “the ages to come,” Ephesians 2:7.  The prophetic Scriptures clearly state that the whole earth is going to experience vast changes in topography, geography, and climatic conditions, and become like “the garden of the Lord.” Glory to God!
It appears that the highest mountain left on the earth will then be “the mountain of the Lord’s house,” Mount Zion in Jerusalem, Psalm 2:6; 68:15-16; Isaiah 2:2-3; Micah 4:1-2;  Zechariah 14:10.
Fertility…..The Lord will be preparing the surface of the earth to grow abundant crops to feed those of mankind on the earth still living in their natural bodies.  Oh yes, there will be some redeemed survivors of the Tribulation period, still living on the earth.  Therefore the Lord God will remove the curse that was placed upon the earth after Adam’s sin [Genesis 3:17-18], causing the earth to bring forth abundantly
During the Tribulation period, every volcano on earth will be spewing forth volcanic ash clouds, making terrible living conditions for those left behind on the earth following the rapture.  But Romans 8:28 is still in the Bible, and the Lord does all things well.
Have our readers ever considered that volcanic ash is likely the very best natural fertilizer ever discovered by mankind?  For a year or more after Mt. St. Helens erupted in the state of Washington in 1980, the Washington apples were the largest, sweetest, and juiciest, they had been in years.  I know, for I was pastoring a church there at the time.
Dear readers, we look at the land of Israel today, and it is a dry, arid, desert country, with only a small portion of the land suitable for farming and raising crops.  Even the portion of the land which is farmed today, has to be irrigated in order for the land to produce.  But it was not always this way.
When the Israelites entered the promised land under the leadership of Joshua, it was a land “flowing with milk and honey,” Exodus 3:8; 3:17.  The entire land was covered with trees and abundant vegetation, and the rivers and streams all ran with abundant water.
Probably most of our readers have read the account in Numbers 13,  of Moses sending out men to spy out the land, before the children of Israel entered it.  The inspired Word clearly states that two men cut down “one cluster of grapes,” which was so large and heavy that they had to carry it on a staff between them, 13:23.  That is an example of how fertile the holy land was at that time. But look at it today!  What happened?
The Lord God plainly warned Israel, that if they did not love and serve and obey Him, He would withhold the rains.  Read it for yourself in Deuteronomy 11:16-17.  Israel went into apostasy, and ignored the Lord’s warning, nevertheless the Lord did what He said He would do, 2 Samuel 1:21; 1 Kings 8:35; 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.  It is a historical truth that for centuries, Israel received only enough rain to keep the cactus and other desert plants barely alive.  But it is also a truth, that since the re-establishment of Israel as a nation in 1948, the rainfall in Israel has been steadily increasing with the passing years.  Oh, glory to God!  Praise the Lord!
Water…..During the kingdom of Christ, the Lord God will “….cleave the earth with rivers,” Habakkuk 3:9.
“And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall,” Isaiah 30:25.  Every presently dry stream and river bed in Israel will once again flow with water; abundant water for producing the crops the people will need for their ever increasing population.  Read Isaiah 33:21, and 35:6.  Glory to God!
And what will be…..
The Earth’s Response to Such Blessings?
REST…..”The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing,” Isaiah 14:3-7.
When the Lord Jesus Christ sets up His Kingdom on earth, there will be no more wars, no fighting, no rioting, no rebellion and no wickedness allowed to be practiced, and the earth itself will no longer be used to grow noxious plants, from which wicked men produce alcohol and drugs, which cause men today to cheat and lie and fight and make war.  The earth itself will literally be at rest from the sins of mankind.  And this living earth will respond in rejoicing and singing, Isaiah 35:1-2.
PEACE…..”And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many peoples: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more,” Isaiah 2:4; Micah 4:3.
“For ye [Israel] shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands,” Isaiah 55:12.
Fallen mankind’s solution to every major disagreement between nations and peoples has always been to go to war.  But that kind of reasoning will cease forever as Christ Jesus establishes His Kingdom upon the earth.  Immediate correction to any problem between nations and peoples will be the Lord’s solution, for the Scriptures are quite explicit that He will rule “with a rod of iron,” Revelation 2:27; 12:5; 19:15.  Christ Jesus will only have to speak the Word, and the problem will be solved immediately and peacefully.
VEGETATION…..”The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God,” Isaiah 35:1-2.
“Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the Lord for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off,” Isaiah 55:13.
Today there are vast areas of the earth’s surface which are nothing but desert, unfit for producing food for mankind, animals, or birds, and mostly worthless.  But when Christ establishes His Kingdom all of this will change.  Streams will break forth in the deserts, and the deserts will become fertile and productive, as they begin to produce vegetation and food for the benefit of mankind and all living creatures.
WATER…..”And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall,” Isaiah 30:25.
“Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall the waters break out. and streams in the desert,” Isaiah 35:6.
Fresh water is absolutely necessary to the survival and health of mankind, and all other living creatures.  As I write today, there is great concern among the governments of the world about the depletion and pollution of fresh water sources on the earth.
There is no need for concern about this problem, by those who are true believers in Christ.  Our Lord God knows exactly where the water sources are, and how, and when, to provide the needed water, and He will!  The Scripture reference in Isaiah 30:25 appears to be referring to the time when the battle of Armageddon occurs and all man-made structures on earth are destroyed, at or near the end of the Tribulation period.  If this is correct, then the Lord is going to begin restoring the earth back to prime condition, immediately upon the defeat and destruction of the armies of the anti-christ, and of the incorrigible wicked.  How great is our God and Savior!   Glory to God!
PHYSICAL HEALTH…..”And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity,” Isaiah 33:24.
Don’t fail to notice that sickness in this Scripture,  is clearly related to the “iniquity” of the people of Israel [33:20-22].  When the Lord God forgives their “iniquity,” then they will no longer experience sickness.
“And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more,” Ezekiel 34:29.
“And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat [food], whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat [food],  and the leaf thereof for medicine [healing; health], Ezekiel 47:12.
A careful study of the context in which this latter Scripture occurs will reveal that a stream of “living water” [47:9] will begin flowing from beneath the Millennial Temple; that it will become a great river, and that on each side or bank of the river, “the tree of life,” [Genesis 2:9] will once again be planted by the Lord, and caused to grow and produce fruit.  These trees will bear fruit every month, providing an abundance of extremely nutritious food for the people, and the leaves of the trees will be used for medicine [healing; health].
This will guarantee perfect physical health [and more] for every person who eats the fruit from those trees and drinks the water from that river, but it will also bring them…..
SPIRITUAL HEALTH…..”The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid,” Zephaniah 3:13.
“But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the Lord dwelleth in Zion,” Joel 3:20-21.
Dear readers, even many true believers have never given much thought to how we humans acquired a “sin nature.”  Every human being is presently born with such a “sin nature,” whether they are willing to believe it or not, Psalm 58:3; 14:2-3; 53:3;  Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 7:18.  But how did we get this “sin nature?”   The inspired Word clearly indicates that we living today inherited it from our parents, and they from their parents, etc., all the way back to Adam himself, Romans 5:12.
Folks, when Adam ate of the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil,” [Genesis 2:16-17], in disobedience to the Lord God,  he received physical and spiritual blood poisoning.  Yes, I said “blood poisoning!”   Sin is real, and it is in the blood stream of mankind, passed on in the birth process from father to child,  Romans 5:12.
Our readers should notice, that immediately after Adam had ate the fruit of the forbidden tree, the Lord God took measures to prevent him from having access to “the tree of life,” Genesis 3:22-24.  Notice also that the Lord God Himself clearly stated that eating the fruit from “the tree of life” would cause Adam to “live for ever,” 3:22.
So what does all of this have to do with our “sin nature”?  Everything!
When the Lord Jesus Christ sets up His Kingdom on the earth, the “tree of life” will be restored to the earth, and to access by the survivors of the Tribulation period.  These survivors will be redeemed people still in their natural bodies.
These “trees of life” will first be caused to grow again in the land of Israel, at the foot of the mount on which the Millennial Temple will be built, Ezekiel 47.  So it will be the redeemed of Israel who first have access to eat the fruit from these trees.  God’s principle at work, Romans 1:16.
However, the Scriptures state quite clearly that the Gentile peoples of the earth will be required to come to Israel every year to observe the Feast of Tabernacles, Zechariah 14:16-21.  Therefore, they too will have access to eat the fruit from these “trees of life,” and drink the “living water” from the river flowing from the Millennial Temple.
And what will be the result of eating the fruit from these trees?  The blood stream of both Jew and Gentile will be cleansed, as stated about Judah in Joel 3:20-21.  The “sin nature;” the tendency to sin, presently in the blood stream of mankind, will be cleansed from the blood and flesh of mankind “for ever.”  Therefore there will be no more sin and no more sickness among mankind on the earth.   Glory to God!  Praise the Lord!  Hallelujah!
Conclusion
Dear readers, there is more; much more, about the coming glorious Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ that I want to share with His people, and with lost seeking souls.  What a glorious future the Lord God is preparing for redeemed mankind in “the ages to come,” Ephesians 2:4-7.  And unless the reader is a true believer, saved by faith through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, they will miss it all!  Take heed!
The Lord permitting, I want to write and send out at least one more study in this series.  But I am not physically well!  Like the Apostle of old, I feel in my body that my time of departure is drawing near.  I certainly need the prayers of my brothers and sisters in Christ.  Thank each of you so much.  I do hope and pray that our Lord Jesus comes for us all, before anymore of us have to meet the angel of death.
May our gracious Lord add His blessings to this Bible study.

There is very little to be add to the content of this wonderful article.

My only observation is that as end time believers we will be under demonic attack from a myriad of manners ways and persons and endurance, patience, tolerance, love and wisdom are required in great quantities. Pray that they will be available in excess.

Authentic Manhood in the End Times

By Howard Green

A narrative drilled into our heads every day by pop-culture, the media, Hollywood, and even people in our own circles has become the “norm.” The broad summary of the narrative is this: All men are pretty much alike and they all live and behave in the same way. I suspect that I’m not alone in my belief that the world’s idea of what a real man is couldn’t be more flawed.

As a Christian man, I want to expose the world’s notion of manhood for what it is—a lie. I also want to encourage brothers in Christ everywhere to live out an authentic manhood in these last days.

Before we dig in, I want to address sisters in Christ. We know you as wives, moms, daughters, sisters, aunts, and friends. As you read this article for men, please understand it is meant to encourage you as well. The world tells you the same pack of lies about men. As believers, we know this isn’t the truth.

The continuous defamation of the roll and character of men is unrelenting. Please remember that we need your prayers, support, and encouragement. Wives please pray for your husbands. Moms please pray for your sons. Grand moms please intercede for your Grandsons. Aside from the Lord, Bible believing women are the greatest asset we have.

If you are a Christian teenage young lady or young woman, please remember that you belong to the Lord. Christian guys are your brothers. Be an example of kindness, modesty, and true beauty that is so rare and hard to find these days. You will be such an encouragement to your brothers in Christ.

“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty, For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,                                 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).

Men, we live in dark days and the onslaught of evil is growing by the day. I began to notice this defaming of the roll of men start in the 1970s and it really took hold in the 1980s. Now in the last decade or so, it seems like there is an all out frontal assault on men. Hollywood for the most part, likes to portray men as poorly mannered, sex crazed, egotistic bumbling idiots.

Thinking of television in just the past few years or so, men have been portrayed like goofballs in shows such as:  Married With Children, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and The King of Queens to name just a few.

Think about the men the actors in these shows portray. They are usually very immature, self-absorbed, simple minded, and foolish. The husbands and fathers portrayed on these shows are reduced down to having the same intellect as a sideshow clown. I have news for Hollywood; the world doesn’t dictate how Christian men should live—only Jesus can do that.

Reality shows are the big thing now. The Hills, The Bachelor, Real Housewives (of wherever), Jersey Shore, and Keeping up with the Kardashians are just a sampling of shows that highlight what a degenerate mess this world is in. Most of the “males” on these shows are simply boys who know how to shave, in my opinion.

It’s not just the television shows, because the commercials have some of the most sexually charged, provocative, and debased content available for all to see. I say that because although I’m not a sports fanatic, occasionally I will watch a big game like the Super Bowl or World Series with my sons or daughters.

One minute you are seeing the replay of a great touchdown and before you know it, there’s                 a                 scantily dressed woman on the screen in what is supposed to be a commercial about cars. Wardrobe malfunctions, sexual innuendo, and materialism are the rule—not the exception. I used to turn my head, now it’s just better to turn the filth off.

I had the opportunity to go to an Indianapolis Colts game last year. I was with another guy and we were having a great time. All of a sudden, the huge fifty foot tall television screens on the four sides of the stadium zoomed in on the cheerleaders who had very little on in the way of clothing.

I simply turned away and decided that looking at my bag of peanuts was irresistible! As funny as it sounds, I wanted the young man next to me to know that my eyes are reserved for my wife and my heart belongs to her and the Lord. I didn’t put on a big show or overreact. I simply looked the other way; it wasn’t what the usual male reaction is supposed to be according to the world’s (low) standards.

“I have made a covenant with my eyes; how then could I gaze at a virgin?” (Job 31:1).

The point is this: The world sends the wrong message to our sons and daughters: Money can satisfy all of your needs. Men are cool if they drink a particular brand of beer. Young men, this is the kind of woman you need. Young lady, if you dress like this you will get attention. The list of wrong messages never ends. I want my children and all of our youth to know that they don’t have to live the lies that the world sells them.

Sin can be pleasurable for a season, but it always leads to death. This world system is corrupt with lies from the father of lies, so I want to disengage from it at all costs. Notice I said “disengage” the world, not the people in the world. To me, that is one of the most exiting parts about being a Christian man. Guys, you and I have the opportunity to be salt and light in a very dark place.

Do you understand how rare, distinct, and revolutionary living for God’s glory is—in a society that is fixated on self? If you live as a disciple of Jesus, you will be like an exile or stranger from a different planet. Engaging people with the love of Christ and living a holy life as a man of God in this dark society is not what the world expects the average man to do.

As Christian men, we are expected to act and behave a certain way. When we walk according to the Spirit and not the flesh, we will be like aliens compared to the men who live for their own pleasure. There have been movements such as Promise Keepers and others that bring men together under the banner of Christianity. I don’t have a positive or negative opinion of men’s conferences because at the end of the day, it is the Lord who looks at the fruit of such efforts and that’s what matters.

I do believe men should be part of a local church. Men should be involved in corporate Bible study or a small group. We should also have brothers in our lives to encourage us, and to whom we mutually accountable. Iron sharpens iron and there is something very unique about men getting together to lift up Jesus’ name.

I can hear some of you guys saying, “Howard, this is men’s ministry 101, we do all of this.” I get it, but I want to reiterate the importance of fellowship because I believe one of the ways the enemy tries to devour us is through isolation or trying to go it alone. We need brothers both young and old in our lives with whom to walk this Christian walk                 You are building up other men in the faith by the example of your walk with the Lord.

There is something even bigger than fellowship with other brothers, and that’s your personal walk with Jesus. When small group time is over, the conference has ended or the men’s Bible study breaks for the season, you will still need to stand firm. When it comes right down to it basics, it’s my own walk with the Savior that will matter for eternity.

Personal integrity, character, behavior, habits, and lifestyle are all governed by the will of God if I’m truly a Christian man. Reading the Bible, praying, and engaging in fellowship continually with Jesus are the things that will make me a man who lives to glorify God.

I see something in modern evangelicalism, a pattern among men: Excuses.

Can we please stop                 the obsession with the word struggle?

Let me preface the rest of my thought and tell you that I understand we are all at different places in our walk. There are differing levels of spiritual maturity and growth. So I get it that a man who has just been saved out of a long life filled with alcohol, drug, pornography, or other addictions will have a battle on his hands.

If it weren’t for the grace of God, I would be right there wallowing in my sins. Pride comes before a fall and it’s not for any of us to brag that we stand strong, lest we fall into rebellion and sin. So please understand that I’m not addressing personal trials and temptations because we all have them. It’s what we do with them, our thought lives, and ultimately our actions that lead to sin.

We do need to support a brother when he is genuinely in a struggle, in the truest sense of the word. He needs prayer, accountability, wise counsel, and love from Christian brothers. There are some who are truly struggling and we need to be there to pray for and encourage those men. A day                 often comes when a brother’s struggle is replaced by a growing daily obedience to the Word of God                 and the wonderful the fruits of the Spirit.

“Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect”  (Romans 2:12).

What I’m addressing here is something totally different. What I am are zeroing in on here are                 the guys who just doesn’t want to keep his eyes off of women who are not their wives or put down                 the bottle, or take a sledgehammer to the computer where he views porn. This type of                 guy isn’t struggling; he is living in blatant rebellion of God’s Word.

Let’s see it for what it is—sin. I’ve seen this pattern over and over again. Brother (fill in the blank) makes a profession of faith. He gets into men’s ministry—a small group and becomes a member at church. Before long, he slips back into his old ways, cheats on his wife, lives like he’s not a Christian, and is defiant in the process.

A man who is walking with Christ is transformed by the renewing of his mind. His life is marked by a steady increase of Christ-likeness and holiness. The fruit of a life that has been transformed by the Spirit of God he is radically different.

That isn’t the case with a man who claims to be a believer, but lives for this world. I agree that we should be equal parts truth and love because that’s the model Jesus left for us. Unfortunately, and more often than not, I see well-meaning Christians come alongside this type of man and label what he’s going through as a struggle.

I have known elders instructing Christian men but are unwilling to confront them with the biblical reality of blatant sin in their lives. That is not a biblical approach. Showing fallen or backslidden men love involves going to a very hard place by risking the friendship, unity, and peace at any cost in order to rescue them. They need Christian men in their lives to love them enough to risk the relationship and lovingly be lovingly confronted. I would hope that a brother would love my soul enough to get in my face with biblical reality before I destroy my marriage, family, and life.

“Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy” (Proverbs 27:5-6).

“My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:19-20).

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself” (Galatians 6:1-3).

That brings me to a final point. You cannot will, fight, manipulate or conjure up goodness in and of yourself. It’s only “Christ in me” that is good. Left to my own goodness and trying, I will fail miserably. I have to die to myself daily and crucify the flesh if I’m to live for Jesus. That is why I said earlier that conferences, small group, men’s fellowship groups are all fine, but at the end of the day, it’s my personal walk with Jesus and His atoning work for me that will count. I can never be good enough on my own.

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose” (Galatians 2:20-21),

Guys, we must live with a longing to hear, “Well done good and faithful servant?” If we surrender our pretend goodness and let Christ work in and through us, He will help us in so many ways. We will be able to love our wives like He loves the Church. We will speak words of wisdom into our children’s lives.

We will be better equipped as friends, teachers, pastors, and co-laborers to build-up one another; to be sober minded, grounded, and stand firm when the world around us seems to be falling headlong into an abyss of immorality. Friends, take care of your walk and although important, don’t get so caught-up in family, life, or ministry to the point that you neglect your own walk with Jesus.

I want every Christian man who is reading this to understand that we are at war. We don’t have the time or luxury to stroll leisurely toward heaven as we live out our lives daily.

Heads up: Jesus is coming soon and the enemy knows his time is limited. Satan wants to devour you, destroy your family, wreck you marriage, and obliterate your children. Let’s get back to basics and pray for our kids daily. We need to pray for our wives daily. I don’t do it enough and what a blessing to miss out on.

We need to take our wives by the hand any pray for her and over her, because there is a war raging against her as well. We need to live holy lives, which means living a lifestyle set apart unto God, not only because people are watching but it is God’s will and command for us. We all have the opportunity to be a witness of the life changing work of Jesus.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd” (John 10:10).

We have a responsibility to stand against the narrative that this world tries to ram down our throats. Laughing at coarse jokes is what worldly men do. Staring at the pretty lady who walks by with your friends and they pressure you by saying, “It’s okay to look, but not to touch” is                 what worldly men do.

We should not commit adultery in our hearts by staring and lusting at women who are not our wives; instead we should keep our desire only for our wives and no one else. Spending money on yourself and worrying about “number one” instead of putting your wife and kids first is what many men do, but not if he is truly saved.

We need to speak life into a conversation that’s heading nowhere that is good. Before we worry about our golf games, guys night out or what we want                 to do, we gladly set those things aside to bless our wives by doing what she loves and do it with                 a truly cheerful heart.

Be sure to be the same man behind closed doors that you are in public. We cannot afford to play religious games or have an apathetic Christian walk. We need to follow hard after Jesus wholeheartedly. Living this life for the glory of God alone, and not ourselves is the diametric opposite of how the world lives.

Friends, we need to emulate “real men”—not the boys in men’s clothing of today’s pop culture. We need more men like Joseph, Job, David, Jeremiah, Daniel, Stephen, Peter, James, Paul, Timothy, and of course Jesus. These are real men who lived boldly for the Father’s glory.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:1-2).

As these days grow darker prior to Jesus’ return, I don’t expect the spiritual battle to abate. On the contrary, I expect the full onslaught of Satan to come against all Christian men and of course the entire Church. Make no mistake, if you stand and live for Jesus, you will be attacked.

Men, let’s pray for one another, encourage others to finish well and live as an example of authentic manhood in these end times. If you would like prayer or want                 to know more about living for Jesus, click here.

All for Him,

Howard

Oct 6, 2015 Jesus Christ will rule the world and the Universe and He is a Jew!

In this introduction to the video below I want to state in no uncertain terms something that they bring out very well and it is that Jesus Christ is God and ruler of the Universe and that He is a Jew from Israel. He is the Jewish Messiah that was promised to Israel that is coming back to rule in the earth from Jerusalem and the Temple, but much more than that His rule extends to the whole Universe and to heaven also as all the angels of heaven and heaven itself is under His command and authority. The Bible is clear as to the earthly ruler-ship,  but heaven will still be existing and together with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is one and multi-present.

At the end of the earthly kingdom and after the Great White Throne judgment there are these words spoken Rev 21:1

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away and there was no  longer any sea.

The full extend of the Kingdom to eternity is not fully revealed, but what is revealed is very breathtaking.

Dr. Kevin Clarkson and Joel Richardson have covered a very important subject..
