Most of the Bible prophecy buffs, myself included were expecting the Rapture to occur at the feast of Pentecost this year. This feast was calculated in different dates by the Church and by the Jewish religious authorities.
The study of when the feast is supposed to be celebrated presented by Elaine B. originally and brought to our attention again by James Brownlow gives a new date this year at August 3/4.
Let us be in prayer and watchful to use our time to the utmost of efficiency for those dear to us that are blind to see what is coming our way.

“Eliane B. and When is Pentecost , “fully come ? ““
Eliane and readers :
That was a most interesting study and internet link you posted last week. The scriptures do seem to point to August 3 / 4 as being “Pentecost fully come” this year. Could the starting date for the church will also be its ending date ?
In addition to being a high watch, feast date , this also is exactly to the day, Obama’s SEVENTH birthday in office — August 4th — and because this year is a leap year , August 3 is calendar day 216 — 6x6x6 — in year 2016 — another 6x6x6.
Also, Pentecost is closely connected to fire. From your links ,
1. Samson torches the Philistines wheat. Judges 15:1-5
2. When Saul was crowned King, Samuel calls down fire from heaven. 1Samuel 12:17-8
3. Cloven tongues of fire descend on those in the upper room. Acts 2:1-4
PS. As your links were not connecting , I was able to access the websites listed by using google.

“Pentecost “fully come” is on the 28th of the 4th Hebrew month”
It’s been about 4 years since I last posted on Five Doves. I hope you are well and everyone in the community too.
Thanks for sharing, Eliane.
When is the true Pentecost date? When is it “fully come”?
My references are the Creation Calendar website and the Lunar Sabbath website.
In both websites, before touching the subject of the correct method of calculating when the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) is fully come, they first explain (with an abundance of scriptural evidence) that the 7th day of the ancient Hebrew week (the weekly Sabbath) is not equivalent to the Gregorian Calendar’s “Saturday”.
With that explained, they present the fact that nowhere in scriptures does it say that Pentecost is in spring neither that Pentecost takes place in the beginning of the 3rd Hebrew month (“Sivan”). Pentecost is a summer Feast that concludes the grain harvest. The main grain harvests in Israel were barley (which begins to ripen on the Feast of Firstfruits, on Nisan 16th) and wheat (which ripens in the end of the 4th Hebrew month (also called “Tammuz” after the Babylonian exile) if we’re referring to wheat planted in spring, not in fall or winter. Scripture always refer to new grain not old grain). Only wheat planted in the fall gets ripe in the beginning of the 3rd Hebrew month. Wheat planted in spring takes about 4 months to mature and this can be confirmed by the Department of Agriculture.
The Feast of Pentecost falls on the 28th day of the 4th Hebrew month (“Tammuz”). In 2016 this date will land on August 3rd or 4th. Troy Miller (Creator Calendar website’s author) says that it’s the 29th of 4th month, but I think the 28th is the correct counting, because the morrow after the 7th Sabbath (9th of Sivan) is already counted as the 1st day in the counting from 1 to 50. It also depends on one of the previous months having an extra day or not.
In the book of Ruth, the story begins in the beginning of the Barley harvest (Ruth 1:22) and ends at the end of the barley AND the wheat harvest (Ruth 2:23). The end of the redemption process [which is the main subject of the Book of Ruth: a Redeemer (type of Christ) taking a gentile bride (type of the Church)] takes place on the Feast of Pentecost. This is a significant hint in Scriptures.
There were two silver trumps for the calling of the assembly: one on Pentecost and the other on the Feast of Trumpets. Most people think that the Feast of Pentecost has already been completely fulfilled but then I ask: what’s the meaning of the two loaves of leavened bread being lifter UP by the Priest? Nothing has gone UP to the Father on that Feast yet. In the previous partial fulfillments of that Feasts, things came DOWN from Heaven, not up. I believe that the Rapture of the Churth (Boaz getting married to Ruth) will take place on that Feast. I’m not saying that anything will happen in any specific year. I’m just presenting information about the scriptural Pentecost date, in any year.
In the book of Revelation, Christ appears in the middle of the seven candlesticks. The Feast of Pentecost is represented by the central lamp in the Menorah (as the 4th Feast, in the middle of the seven). The rapture or the Bride of the Son of God is a central event in the prophetic calendar.
Below I present the articles that refer to the Feast of Pentecost, but first, the reader must understand the Lunar Sabbath explanation in the other articles. The day we know today as “Saturday” (in the Gregorian Calendar) is not the Sabbath of the ancient Hebrew calendar. Secondly, the counting of 50 days comes AFTER seven lunar Sabbaths are counted. The seventh (lunar) Sabbath after Passover is the 8th of Sivan. The morrow after that date is the 9th of Sivan, the 1st day of the omer (counting to 50). The 50th day of the omer is the 28th of 4th Hebrew month.
I know that if this is the first time you come across this concept you will find it really strange. But all the scriptural references with regard calendar on the Creation Calendar website are abundant and should be carefully analyzed. Note: I’m referring to the Sabbath and Pentecost studies only. I don’t necessarily agree with other views and doctrines held by the author.
I’ve shared these lines because I noticed that many doves expressed interest in identifying the correct Pentecost date. If anyone doesn’t agree with this line of thought (lunar Sabbaths, Pentecost in summer etc) it’s perfectly OK. It’s not my intention to start an endless thread about this subject.
Let me just conclude by saying that, much more important than calendar issues is using all resources we have (time, money, talents) in a wise manner (suggested reading: Luke 16). Our acts here have eternal impact for ourselves and for others, specially unsaved ones. I’ve sincerely been much more concerned about that than about any discussion about dates.
Have a blessed day,
Will this be one of the last posts for this blog as the Rapture of the church may be tomorrow June 12, or Sivan 6, 5776 the year of Jubilee?
Well as Gary Stearman and Bob Ulrich so beautifully explain in their video the feast of Pentecost is full of blessings and important things for God.
If it does happen that tomorrow the church of Christ will join the Lord Jesus Christ in heaven and you find yourself not taken and wondering what happened, I hope you can find the answer in the video and in this blog as well as on the links that are provided.
Something very important will follow the Rapture and it is the clearing the way for the forces of evil to succeed and bring the world to the reign of Satan’s son the Antichrist for a period of seven years.
People will still be able to save their souls by accepting Jesus Christ as their savior at this time as the world will be forced to choose between Satan and Jesus with no position in between to remain neutral.
Rapture on May 15, 2016 today or June 12, 2016 Shavuot?
In January 30, 2016 I posted the article linked below with a date of June 30, 2016 and it was a comment to an excellent article written by Mr. Greg Wilson on the probability of the Rapture on Pentecost. May 15, 2016 today is the day set by the Christian churches for the celebration of Pentecost. The Jews celebrate this festival which they know as Shavuot on June 12 following the calendar used at present not the sacred calendar prescribed by Moses.
Today Mr. Greg Wilson posted another excellent article on the Rapture on Pentecost May 15, 2016 linked below.

“Six Blood Moons”
The link below is to the post of January 30, 2016.
On the link below I posted another excellent article by Judith that puts the Rapture on May 17/18, 2016 which is also a very strong possibility if today comes completely with no Rapture.
On the link below is an article I posted on the six blood moon eclipses.
Finally the signs and numbers all point to this year from today to mid June. Will the Rapture and the Tribulation both occur within this period of time?
If you do not know Jesus Christ or heard of Him He is the incarnate son of God that came to the world to die for our sins and redeem us from sin and death. He proved His power against death by His resurrection three days after His death.
All that believe in these truths will be saved and enter into His eternal kingdom of pure joy and happiness.
Please read the Bible to grow in your new faith and get closer to Him. In my blog I have a link to Bibles in different languages and a translator for many other languages, please use them to reach others!
April 18, 2016 A research timeline study for the Rapture on May 17/18 and the Tribulation on May 27/28 by Judith
To my readers I am recommending that you take this study close to heart as there are gold nuggets in the discoveries Judith has presented.
As any timeline derived from studies and prophetic types it could be wrong, but if she is you gain everything by preparing to meet the Lord next month even if He delays His coming, but hope is kindle and encouragement is given with the anticipation of the final glory for our bodies manifested.

“First Trump & Last Trump Study“
FIRST TRUMP & LAST TRUMP STUDY
THE FIRST TRUMP –
As shown in the 2520 year study – (see March 27, 2016 Five
Doves Letters) the Exodus ocurred in the 2520th year from
Adam. Passover ocurred on March 14 and the Exodus to the
Promise Land was the next day on the 15th – (see Ex. 12:41).
They arrived Mt. Sinai “on the very day” meaning on the same
date (14th) in the third month (May 14/15) – (see Ex. 19:1-2).
In Ex. 19:10 – 11 the Lord tells Moses to “consecrate the people
today and tomorrow and have them wash their clothes and be
ready by the third day (May 17/18), because on that day
the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all
The FIRST TRUMP then ocurred on May 17/18 – (see Ex. 19: 16)….
“On the morning of the third day there was thunder and lightning,
with a thick cloud over the mountain, and a VERY LOUD TRUMPET
BLAST” = THE FIRST TRUMP!
Before we can continue with the LAST TRUMP part of the study
there is one other date which has relevance to this study. That
date is October 11/12 and can be found in “God’s Calendar Study” –
(see March 27, 2016 Five Doves Letters). In that study the date
for the Crucifixion found on the 365.25/day calendar was March
14/15. That date corresponded to Aug. 27/28 on the 360/day.
From the Crucifixion to the Resurrection = March 17/18 (Aug. 30/
Sept. 1 on 360/day). Then the ASCENSION ocurred on April
26/27 – OCTOBER 11/12 on the 360/day).
Now we can continue with the next portion of this study…….
THE LAST TRUMP – & Possible Rapture Date –
IF, the Rapture were to occur on MAY 17/18, 2016 then the
corresponding 360/day would be OCTOBER 11/12, 2045. So,
what is remarkable is the LAST TRUMP would be on the same
date as the FIRST TRUMP. Also, the corresponding date of
OCTOBER 11/12, 2045 would occur on the ASCENSION date –
the same date Jesus ascended into heaven.
THE TRIBULATION –
By adding 10 days to the above calculations, another possible
date for the Tribulation could be OCTOBER 21/22, 2045 or
MAY 27/28, 2016.
The OCTOBER 21/22 date was the date for PENTECOST on the
360/day calendar – (see God’s Calendar Study). It is also the
initial date for the BALFOUR DECLARATION – OCTOBER 22
which would complete 100 years or two JUBILEE cycles.
MAY 27/28 was the date for the first PASSOVER when the
Israelites first arrived in the PROMISE LAND – GILGAL – (see
God’s Calendar Study).
In conclusion I’d like to offer some perspective as to why I have
continued with these date speculations.
God has pre-ordained a special day for the Rapture. What that
date is we cannot know with any absolute certainty, but what
we can know is when the time is approaching and the nearness
of the hour. We have been given so much in bible prophecy that
offers encouragement and incentive to watch, and be faithful in
all we do. That alone is enough evidence to keep us alert and
joyful while awaiting His soon return. However, there is more
and that includes the specific dates that is provided in scripture
that seems to have or might have some significance as to when
the Blessed Hope will finally arrive. Those dates include major
events such as the flood; feast days; the Exodus timeline; not to exclude the Babylonian Captivity and the Birth of Jesus and the
special dates that follow.
It appears that God was specific with certain dates and gave
enough information with them possibly for us to formulate
certain patterns and cycles as many have done throughout the
I repeat, while we may not know the exact day or hour of His
return, we can ascertain through prophecy and various timelines
the approximate time – especially as we see the day approaching,
and what is gained by our continued examination of when that
day could possibly be is a blessing for those of us who are watching
and waiting. Also, it serves as a reminder for those who would
scorn our efforts and may even cause an interest and return to holy
living as a certain awakening may occur by our continued per-
severance in sounding the alarm. So, I offer no apologies for
all that I’ve submitted in the past and will continue to offer when
new information can be shared.
Finally, many of us know the joy we share together as we remain
faithful in our watchfulness – not to mention the fun we have with
the challenge of being effective in our cause – which is to proclaim
His Holy Name and Blessed Hope……….our going home.
So whether we are to be awakened to rise or remain alive at His
soon return, we have a strong sense of expectancy which is a joy
unspeakable and full of glory – something the world cannot
May our efforts be productive and fruitful is my prayer.
Douglas Henney has presented us in a six parts series with his thoughts of what is coming in the near future and in the next seven years of Apocalypse.
A very good dissertation of what is to come with some unusual points of view a some Bible based speculation. Very possible scenario although not all can I agree with.
Thank you Mr. Henney for very good thought provoking articles.
Thanks a million to Greg Wilson for this excellent work of scripture investigation.
Pentecost this year is on June 12
6/12 = 6/6+6 = 18 keep this present when you read this article below.
There are two times in the year that I have always expected Jesus in the Rapture and they were on Pentecost and trumpets. Mr. Wilson has given us an excellent study of the Word to support primarily the Pentecost Rapture.
In addition to the excellent reasons given in the article I reasoned that Jesus in His perfect order will assign a whole number of years for His church harvest, that means if it started in Pentecost it will end in Pentecost.
About March of this year I was talking to my mother who was 92 years old at the time that Jesus was coming at the Rapture in this Pentecost. He did not come for the Rapture on 2015 but He took my mother the day after on May 25. Next Pentecost on May 15, 2016 I can expect a big reunion as the dead in Christ come first and then we who remain follow them in a short span of time. This is my hope and the hope of all anxious watchers in the past and present.

“A SCRIPTURAL CASE FOR A PENTECOST RAPTURE”
23 September 2015
NO TRUMPETS RAPTURE
A SCRIPTURAL CASE FOR A PENTECOST RAPTURE
A majority of Christians today are looking for a Trumpets rapture event. However, there is very little scriptural support for this proposition.
The Feasts of the Lord are Prophetic
The Levitical festivals of the Lord are a prophetic picture of God’s redemptive plan. Paul says as much in Colossians 2:16-17. This truth has been demonstrated in Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits with the crucifixion death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Pentecost was partially fulfilled by the gift of the Holy Spirit. (See Note 1)
Trumpets vs. Pentecost Rapture
Why do I say that Pentecost was partially fulfilled ? A majority of Christians say that Pentecost was fulfilled with the “giving of the Law” at Mt. Sinai and the gift of the Holy Spirit in 32 A.D. They treat Pentecost as completely fulfilled. I simply question the general belief because I cannot find any Scriptural support for the Law being given on Pentecost. We are called to “prove all things”. (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
There is nothing in the Old Testament which even remotely connects Pentecost with the giving of the Law at Sinai. Moses did not associate any historical event in Israel’s early history with Pentecost, as he did with Passover and Tabernacles. The name the Pentecost Feast (Shauvot) does not define its essence, as do the other festivals of the Lord. There is a teaching in Jewish tradition which connects Pentecost with the giving of the Law. It may be possible to estimate that the law was given about 53 days after the first Passover in Egypt, but it is not an event that the word of God chooses to emphasize or associate with this Feast.
The Jewish traditions about the memorial day for blowing Trumpets are enticing to associate with the rapture event. Jewish tradition teaches that it will be the final gathering of Israel when the Messiah comes. It is taught as a symbol of the resurrection of the dead. They teach that the book of life will be opened on this day. There are to be 100 trumpet blasts, with the last blast the longest.
The fact that the two principal rapture verses, 1 Corinthians 15:52 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17 refer to the “last trump” and “trumpet of God” are the emphatic points of interest and what connect the majority belief that the rapture is associated with the Festival of Trumpets.
Paul never teaches or associates the rapture with the festival of Trumpets. However, Paul teaches that the rapture of the “Christ’s own” is associated with His resurrection and first fruits. Christ was risen from the dead on the festival of First Fruits during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
The Three Orders of Resurrection
Paul teaches that there are three orders of the resurrection. God has an ordered redemptive plan. By inference, we are lead to consider that Israel’s three pilgrimage feasts, (1) unleavened bread, (2) Pentecost, and (3) Tabernacles are “shadows” of the resurrection of the dead. (Exodus 23:14)
Christ was raised at First Fruits, during the feast of Unleavened Bread. He is the first order of the resurrection. Then, afterward, they that are Christ’s at His coming. If Christ is coming for His own, we know that this is the promise of John 14:3, 1 Corinthians 15:51 and 1 Thessalonians 4:17. It is the rapture.
Christ’s own is the second order of the resurrection. When is the second order of the resurrection ? On Pentecost, the next feast or on Trumpets ? Trumpets is not a pilgrimage feast.
Christ’s own have the first fruits of the Spirit. (Romans 8:23) So, Christ’s own are associated with His first fruits resurrection. When he comes for His own, our bodies will be redeemed. (Romans 8:23) Our bodies will be transformed. (Philippians 3:20) The complete redemption of Christ’s own involve two stages. First, the guarantee, the deposit of the Spirit, then second, “at His coming”, the redemption of the body. The Holy Spirit was given as a deposit the moment we believed. It is a guarantee, an earnest deposit of His Spirit in our hearts until He comes for us. For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy. (Romans 11:16) Christ’s own are the lump. The simple inference is that Christ’s own will follow Him as a first fruits type of resurrection. If stage one occurred on Pentecost, as a deposit of guarantee, why should we not expect the Lord to complete His redemptive plan for “His own” on the same feast, the feast of conclusion. Curiously, the rabbinic name for Shauvot (Pentecost) is Hag ha-Azereth, or Azereth, meaning the “Feast of Conclusion”. They also refer to Pentecost as Hag ha-Bikurim, meaning the Feast of First Fruits”.
The Feast of Pentecost is a harvest feast, a pilgrimage feast which follows First Fruits. This is supported by Leviticus 23:10-11; 16-17. So, if Jesus was resurrected on First Fruits, He will come for His own at the Feast of Pentecost. Here is the reasoning. The picture at the Temple at First Fruits is the priests offering God the “Sheaf of Grain”. They waved the sheaf of grain before the Lord. This was a pre-harvest waving of a sample of the harvest. The priests were doing this the morning that Jesus was resurrected. Imagine that ! While they were waiving the grain sheaf up to the Lord, the Lord was being lifted up out of the grave. God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice. He is the first fruits of the resurrection.
Now, 50 days later, the grain crops were mature and were harvested. On Pentecost the priest were charged to make two loaves of bread from the harvested grain. These loaves contained leaven. Then they waived the two loaves in the air as an offering to the Lord.
The “wave sheaf offering” symbolizing Christ’s resurrection as the basis for understanding the “wave loaf offering” at Pentecost. The sample of grain sheaf which is waved before the Lord anticipated the grain harvest 50 days later where the harvested grain would be baked into loaves of bread. The two acts of waving the sheaf and the loaves are necessarily related. The latter is dependent on the former. They are so related that there is a countdown in anticipation of the seed grain being transformed into loaves of bread. Jesus is the Lord of the Harvest. (Matthew 9:38) Trumpets is not a harvest festival.
I believe that the two loaves made with grain represent Christ’s own, not Jew and Gentile because there is neither Jew, nor Greek, for all are one in Christ. (Galatians 3:28). For God made “one new man” in Himself. (Ephesians 2:15)
The two loaves represent (1) the resurrected dead, and (2) the transformed living in Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:52) These two loaves are contextually related to the second order of the first fruits resurrection.
In addition to all of this, Paul says that he ministered the Gospel to the Gentiles, that the “offering up of the Gentiles” might be acceptable being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:16) Paul’s offering up description is consistent with the two loaf offering of Pentecost. He speaks the words of a priest making an offering up to the Lord.
The third order of the resurrection is at the end of the Tribulation when the Tribulation and Old Testament saints will be resurrected for the Millennial reign of Christ. (Job 19:25-26; Daniel 12:13). The third order of the resurrection occurs on the Feast of Tabernacles, the third pilgrimage feast. It is the harvest of fruits. It is noteworthy that there is no offering up by the priests. It would appear that only Jesus and His own are lifted to heaven.
Mysteries Associated with Pentecost
Pentecost is also associated with the Mysteries of God, as taught by Paul. For me, this is an additional reason that I favor Pentecost, rather than Trumpets for a future rapture event. Paul does not each any mysteries associated with Trumpets. But of Pentecost, there are many:
- At the fullness of the Gentiles (rapture), the mystery of Israel’s blindness will be removed. Romans 11:25 The number fifty is associated with fullness or completeness. The 50 day countdown speaks to completion of the harvest.
- The second order of the resurrection which includes the rapture is a mystery. 1 Corinthians 15:51 It is related to Christ’s first fruits resurrection and completes the two stage redemption of spirit and body.
- Christ and the Church is a mystery. Ephesians 5:32 Christ’s own were indwelt by His Holy Spirit at Pentecost.
- Christ indwelling the believers, the hope of glory is a mystery. Colossians 1:27
All of these mysteries have an intimate relationship with the Lord and His Own. I believe it is reasonable to associate the Feast of Pentecost with these mysteries.
I believe that it is prudent to teach all aspects of reasoned seasons for the rapture of the true Church, Christ’s own. While I believe Trumpets is interesting, I am compelled to view that Pentecost is a more reasonable feast to associate with a possible rapture event.
I believe that our Lord wants us to know the season of His return. We are children of light, not darkness. (1 Thessalonians 5:5) He does not want us to be sleeping, but watchful. (1 Thessalonians 5:6). He has made His planned order known. (1 Thessalonians 1:1) (Amos 3:7) (Proverbs 25:2)
Chapter 15 of First Corinthians is about the resurrection of the dead and the rapture. There is no hint of teaching that the Festival of Trumpets is associated with the rapture.
I believe that bible teachers should include the possibility of a Pentecost rapture when they teach about the possibility of a Trumpets rapture.
Note 1: The Age of the Law commenced on Passover in Egypt and ended with the crucifixion of our Lord on Passover A.D. 32. The Age of Grace (Indwelling) began on Pentecost A.D. 32 and will end on Pentecost A.D. 20xx with the rapture, the second order of the resurrection. This is a pattern. While I think that associating the giving of the Law at Sinai is reasonable, it is not emphasized purposefully by God. In fact, Pentecost would appear to have no application to the Jew, except the remnant Jewish believers in this Age. (blindness in part Romans 11:25) The sting of death is sin and its strength is the law. (1 Cor. 15:56). No man is justified by the law. The works of the law are under a curse. (Galatians 3:10) The law is not of faith. (Galatians 3:12) If the law were given on Pentecost, it would seem to be a contradiction to the Spirit of Pentecost which is faith apart from works of the law. (Romans 3:28) It is for this reason that I believe that the Lord God did not emphasize the giving of the law at Pentecost. Pentecost is about faith and life…in Christ, the Spirit of Prophecy, the author and finisher of our faith.
Sincerely, In Christ, Greg
