As we prepare to enter Holy week and the coming of Passover and Easter this article by FM Riley takes us back to the beginning in the book of Genesis.
In this week we should meditate in the mysteries that we are going to celebrate and in the greatest gift to mankind the death for the atonement of sins by Jesus Christ our Lord God.
It would be wise to understand that ;the 69th week of years of the prophecy in the 9th chapter of Daniel ended in Passover with the Messiah cutoff or crucified and that the last week’s countdown could well start now.
Tomorrow FM Riley will probably post the second part in http://www.fivedoves.com
Happy Palm Sunday

“The Days of Genesis 1&2“
An Exposition of the
The Days of Genesis 1&2
Literally and Prophetically
By Pastor F. M. Riley

“Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever: for in six days, the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed,” Exodus 31:16-17.
“Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world,” Acts 15:18.
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me.
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,” Isaiah 46:9-10.
The Book of Genesis is one of the two most important books in the entire Bible! The other most important book is The Book of Revelation. Why are these two books so important?
Because Genesis sets before us the beginning of the creation and the origin of mankind. In order to believe this record of the origin of the earth, the physical universe, and the origin of mankind upon the earth, one must believe in the reality of Almighty God. So right at the beginning of His Word, God set up a “test” for mankind. Sadly, those who refuse to believe this inspired Word, setting forth the origin of the earth and the physical universe, and of mankind, will likely never come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, Hebrews 11:6.
Then the Book of Revelation sets before us the glorious future of redeemed mankind in “the ages to come” [Ephesians 2:6-7], and also the end of evil and the evil one, which has caused so many problems among mankind throughout the past 6,000 years of human history.
It is needless to say that Satan and his followers hate both of these books with passionate hatred. These are the two books in God’s inspired Word which have come under the most severe attacks by atheists and other assorted “God deniers” throughout human history.
Again, why are these two books in the Bible so hated; yea, despised, by those who deny the existence of God, and the Divine Inspiration of His Word? Because Genesis pulls the cover off of Satan and exposes him for the wicked being that he is, and Revelation glaringly reveals Satan’s ultimate defeat, condemnation, and well deserved end by the hands of God’s appointed Judge, the Lord Jesus Christ; the precious Savior and Lord of all true believers.
Notice that in our Scripture texts for this study, the inspired passage in Isaiah 46 explicitly states that God declared “the end from the beginning.” I receive this statement as literal truth. Therefore, it is my intention in these studies to examine each of the days in the week set forth in Genesis 1 & 2, written now 6,000 years ago, to see what can be learned about the end of this age. My prayer is that this study will be enlightening and a blessing to every reader……..
We begin with eternity past. The expression in Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God,” does not state nor imply the beginning of God. Almighty God was already in existence before He chose to create.
The question then asked of me numerous times over the 63 years I have been in the Lord’s ministry, is, “Where did God come from?” My answer is that I haven’t the slightest idea, but I refuse to let the question stop me from believing in and serving the Lord.
The old Patriarch Job asked the same question many centuries ago, in saying, “Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection,” Job 11:7-8. Whether some “super smart” men [or women] choose to believe it or not, there are a few things in life that are unknowable, and the origin of God is one of them. The Lord God Himself, in Deuteronomy 29:29, inspired Moses to write, “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Therefore, don’t allow this question about the origin of God to interfere with believing on, and loving and serving, the Lord God. It is explicitly stated in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” Glory to God! I know this Scripture to be true by my own personal experience of God’s saving grace. Now let’s move on…..
EXPOSITION OF DAY ONE
Our readers should notice that the Lord God placed only five inspired Scriptures in this first chapter of your Bible describing the first day of creation. Why just five Scripures? Because God is filled with GRACE and love and compassion for mankind, whom He created, Psalm 111:4; John 3:16. “5” is the number in the Bible which signifies “the grace of God.”
For this study, I am referring to the way these Scriptures read in my Hebrew Bible.
1:1…..”In [the] beginning God created the heaven[s] and the earth.”
In my Hebrew Bible, this statement simply reads, “In beginning God….” Some translations of the Scriptures render this statement, “In a beginning God….” Either one of these translations are setting forth the truth of God’s Word in our English Bible. God existed in eternity past, before He ever began to create…..
This amounts to the fact that at some point in eternity past, our Eternal God chose to begin the material creation. Scriptural verification of this truth is set forth in Psalm 41:13, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting [eternity], and to everlasting [eternity]. Amen and Amen.” This literally means from the state of eternity which existed in the past before God began to create, to the state of eternity which will exist in the future “ages to come,” Ephesians 2:7.”
There is another point about these days of Genesis 1, which any true believer who desires to “rightly divide the Word of Truth” must know and understand. Each of the days in Genesis 1 typify 1,000 years of human history. This is not my opinion! This is clearly stated twice in God’s Word.
“But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day,” 2 Peter 3:8.
“For a thousand years in Thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night,” Psalm 90:4.
In serious study of God’s Word, I learned many years ago, that when a truth is stated twice in the Scriptures, it is established by God, and is therefore unalterable.
So here are two inspired Scriptures which plainly state that the Lord regards each period of 1,000 years of human history as only one day in His Great Week, and each day in His week of creation [Genesis 1] as typifying 1,000 years of human history. Therefore there is a definite correlation between the days in the week of creation, and the chronology of human history.
Caution…..this does not mean that these days in Genesis 1 – 2 were anything more than 24 hour days, just like days are today. It simply means that each 24 hour day typified a 1,000 year period in human history. There is no Scriptural authority for making these days apply to just any period or length of time, other than that which is specifically stated in the inspired Word. Now let’s proceed with our examination…..
In this very first verse in God’s Word, the Hebrew word translated as “heaven” is in the singular in the KJV, and in most other English translations of the Bible. However, in the Hebrew text the word is in the plural; that is, “heavens.” Even the Apostle Paul spoke of a plurality of heavens in 2 Corinthians 12:2. The word as used in Genesis 1:1 is basically speaking of the entire expanse of space above and beyond the earth.
I also want to emphasize to our readers that the heavens and the earth, as originally created were “beautiful,” and ready for habitation by mankind. In Ecclesiastes 3:11, the inspired word clearly states, “He hath made every thing beautiful in His time…..” Then in Isaiah 45:18, the inspired Word says, “For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, [tohu…formless; waste; empty; useless; confused; vain], He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.” See Gesenius Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon, Page 857, Strong’s No. 8414. Dear readers, this inspired Scripture just explicity states that when God created the earth, it was not in the condition described in verse 2 of this chapter, but rather was beautiful and ready for habitation by mankind. Are our readers going to believe what God’s Word says, or what some “theorist” claims? Well…??
1:2…..And the earth [was] became [verb tense] without form and void: and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved [brooded] upon the face of the waters.
In this Scripture, the word “was” as supplied by the translators is not correct. Anyone who seriously studies the Hebrew language [and the Hebrew Bible] should know that there is a verb tense in this Scripture. A verb tense in language always denotes action. “Was,” on the other hand, is speaking of a condition or fixed state, but the verb tense in this Scripture clearly indicates that due to some action on the part of someone [?], the earth as originally created came into a state of waste and desolation [tohu wa bohu], just as this Scripture describes it.
Therefore an enemy of God obviously brought the earth into such a state of waste and desolation, as stated in 1:2. Now who could the enemy be, who would do such a thing to God’s beautiful creation? The answer is obviously Satan, the same evil being who also deceived Mother Eve, and caused sin and death to come upon mankind, Romans 5:12.
Think about this! Is it just “coincidence” that Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God, and as such were spiritually pure and sinless. But just as the original earth was brought into a state of waste, desolation, and darkness, so when Satan deceived Eve, and Adam chose to disobey the Lord, spiritual sin and death came upon mankind, and spiritual darkness filled their souls. Is this correlation just “coincidence?” Be careful how you answer, for God is listening, Matthew 12:36-37.
I suggest that our readers look at 1 Corinthians 15:47, which Scripture points out that Adam was typical of the earth. So what happened to the earth as originally created, was similar to what happened to Adam. Quite obviously, the correlation is not just “coincidence.”
But notice that this Scripture also states, “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The Hebrew word translated as “moved” literally means “brooded,” as a hen broods over her eggs, Matthew 23:37. In other words, the Lord God was not at all pleased that the earth, as He had originally created it, had been brought into such a state of waste and desolation. So, just as a hen broods over her eggs to bring forth life, so the Spirit of God brooded over the waters covering the earth, to restore form and life and usefulness to the earth. Glory to God! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!
1:3…..”And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
In order to hasten the restoration of the earth to the beauty and usefulness in which God had originally created it, God introduced “light” to dispel the darkness. This “light” was obviously not the light of the Sun, for the Sun was not brought into this week of creation until the fourth day, 1:14-18. This “light” which God introduced on the very first day of the creation week is typical of the light of Christ Jesus, whom the Scriptures explicitly state is “the light of the world,” John 1:1-9; 8:12; 9:5. A true believer can stand in total darkness, and still have “the light of Christ” shining in their heart and soul. Glory to God!
Across the centuries of human history, men have “discovered” that “light” is very necessary for the maintenace of life upon the earth. Light is necessary for the purification of the water we drink, of the air we breathe, and for the germination and growth of the plants we eat, and for other vegetation. Now look at your Bibles, and see that on the second and third days of the creation week, within 24 to 48 hours, God would deal with the waters covering the earth, and would cause vegetation to grow upon the earth. There are certain types of vegetation on the earth today, which if deprived of light, will completely die within just a day or two. Our great and gracious God knew exactly what He was doing when He introduced “light” upon the earth to dispel the darkness, on the very first day of the creation week. Glory to God!
1:4…..”And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
Folks, “light” is good! It makes a way for us to see how to get around in a dark place. And it is powerful! Even a wee candle, when lighted, will overpower the darkness, making it possible to see to get about and do whatever we need to do in a previously dark room. Do not our readers enjoy the sunlight on a lovely day, much more than day after dreary day when there is no light of the Sun shining?
There is also a spiritual significance to “light” as opposed to darkness. Light in the Scriptures is typical of that which is good and righteous, as opposed to that which is bad and evil.
1:5…..”And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.”
God Himself labeled these as two distinct periods of time. The 12 hours of darkness are called “Night.” The 12 hours of light are called “Day.” Each period of time has spiritual significance.
In Psalm 30:5, we read, “…..weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” It is obvious that this is speaking of periods of time in human history, when there is great sorrow, only to be followed by rejoicing when the “morning” of the “day of Christ” finally dawns upon mankind. Glory to God!
The Apostle Paul explicitly stated that we New Covenant believers are living in the “night” time of human history, and are headed towards “the day of God,” Romans 13:11-12. He used this knowledge to admonish true believers to “awake” out of spiritual sleep, “knowing the time…….for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Praise the Lord! Glory to God!
Then the remainder of 1:5 says, “And the evening and the morning were the first day.” In the Hebrew text this statement is literally, “And the evening and the morning became day one.”
Each period of time observed as a “day,” by the early inhabitants of the earth, began at sundown, and proceeded forward 24 hours until sundown the following day. The modern practice of beginning each new day at midnight, is a practice which was not followed by the early peoples on the earth.
What this tells us is that the first day of the creation week began on what we now call Sunday evening at sundown, and ended 24 hours later on Monday evening at sundown. It was then Monday evening at sundown when the second day of the creation week began.
Now let’s look at the correlation between this first day of the week, and the first 1,000 years which this first week typifies, 2 Peter 3:8.
This first 1,000 of human history began with the creation of Adam and Eve on the sixth day of the creation week, 1:26-30; 2:7-8. The Lord God explicitly told Adam not to eat of “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,” 2:16-17. The penalty for disobeying the Lord was that Adam would die, 2:17. But Adam didn’t obey, and brought sin and death upon all of mankind, Romans 5:12.
Notice the exact wording of 2:17, “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shall not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.” Some unbelieving critics of the Bible have declared that here is a mistake in God’s Word, for Adam did not die on the day he ate of the forbidden fruit. Pshaw! Read 2 Peter 3:8 again, and let the truth stated soak in. Adam did die in the first 1,000 year day of God’s Great Week. Adam died when he was 930 years of age, Genesis 5:5. This was 70 years short of fulfilling the full day of 1,000 years. Glory to God! His Word stands correct and inviolate!
Imagine if you can, the entire earth populated by just one family, Adam and Eve and their children. Now look at the teeming millions of people today all over the earth, all of whom are descendants of that original first family. How great is our God!
The chronology of mankind from Adam to Noah is set forth in Genesis 5. The careful Bible student can calculate the years involved from this chronology. It is obvious that the first “day” in God’s Great Week, the first period of 1,000 years, there were very few people on the whole earth. There were just a few families multiplying and replenishing the earth, as the Lord had instructed, Genesis 1:28. It was 1,056 years from the creation of Adam to the birth of Lamech, the father of Noah.
This chronology primarily traces the descendants of Adam who believed in the Lord God and passed the knowledge of God on to their children. In other words, it basically sets forth the “blood line” of those believers through whom the Lord Jesus Christ would come into the world many centuries later in mankind’s history.
In seriously studying this chronology, it explicitly mentions the first three sons of Adam.
Adam’s firstborn son was Cain, 4:1. This son of Adam is mentioned 20 times in the Bible, but never in a good sense. Cain was a type of those who depend on themselves and their own works [the flesh] to justify themselves before God. I suggest our readers look up the Scripture references to Cain in God’s Word, and carefully study them all.
Adam’s secondborn son was Abel, 4:2. Abel apparently believed what his father, Adam, told him about God, and sought to love and fear and serve the Lord. As a result, he was hated by Cain, and became the first martyr for the Lord, brutally murdered by his own brother, 4:8.
Because of Cain’s wicked and unrepentant heart, the Lord God placed a mark and a curse upon him, and Cain became “a fugitive and a vagabond,” 4:11-12. One might describe him as the first “hippy.”
Since the ground was cursed, and would no longer yield it’s strength to Cain, he then made the choice to become a city dweller, and established the first city on the earth, 4:11-17. Since that day to the present time, those of mankind who do not want to earn their bread by the sweat of their face [3:17-19], have favored living together with others in cities. Working at a job in some city, is usually physically easier than laboring on a farm to exact a living from the soil.
Some readers may resent what I have just stated about cities. But before a reader gets boiling mad at me, perhaps they need to read and explain why all the cities on the earth will be destroyed, with the exception of Jerusalem, during the coming Tribulation period? And why the Lord God is going to make certain that “the face of the earth” is never filled with cities again, Zephaniah 3:6, Revelation 16:19, Isaiah 14:17, and 14:21? Well…..??
Then Adam was blessed with yet a third son, whose name was Seth, 5:3. Seth’s name means “appointed” or “substituted.” Seth was appointed as the godly seed, in the place of Abel, whom Cain had murdered.
Some of our readers have likely studied about Seth. According to the traditions of the Israelite people, Seth was a devoted “man of God,” totally sold out to the Lord God. According to Israelite traditions, Seth was also the man who constructed, or was in charge of constructing, the Great Pyramid in the land of Egypt. I feel certain that some of our readers have studied about the Great Pyramid in Egypt. I have neither time nor space to go into detail about it in this study.
I will simply mention that the Great Pyramid is a mathematical and prophetical marvel set in stone. The design and construction of the Great Pyramid contains information about the earth and the heavens, and even the future of mankind, which was not yet known in the days of Adam and Seth, and which was not even “discovered” until recent times.
The only rational explanation for this, is that Almighty God inspired Seth as he constructed the Great Pyramid, for it can almost be said that the Great Pyramid is “the Bible set in stone.” Any reader who has never studied the subject, would be blessed by reading some of the many books which have been written about the Great Pyramid.
Therefore Seth was one of the two outstanding “men of God” listed in this chronology in Genesis 5.
The second outstanding “man of God” listed in this chronology in Genesis 5, which deserves the attention of God’s people, is Enoch, 5:18. Enoch was the son of Jared. and the 7th man in the lineage of descent from Adam, born 622 years after the creation of Adam. Enoch is the man who wrote The Book of Enoch, which is still in print and available to God’s people to read today. Every true believer would be blessed by obtaining a copy of this book and reading it for yourself.
Enoch was also the man who lived only 365 years, and walked so close to the Lord, that the Lord “took him,” 5:24. In other words, Enoch did not die, but rather was “raptured” off the earth into the Lord’s presence in glory. As such, he stands as Scriptural proof of the reality of the rapture for God’s people. Glory! Glory! Glory!
Since Enoch was born 622 years after the creation of Adam, and “God took him” 365 years later, then his rapture occurred 987 years into the first “day” of God’s Great Week. Glory to God!
Dear readers, we who are living on the earth today are so close to the coming of Christ “in the air” to rapture His New Covenant saints to glory, that every reader of this study should be living for the Lord every day. At any minute of any day now, our Lord could come for us. Are you
a true believer? Do you have the assurance of forgiven sin and salvation in Christ Jesus? If not, why not? The way of salvation is repeatedly set forth in God’s Word, and all the Lord is asking of you is to believe, Acts 16:30-31.
Read Luke 21:36, John 3:16-18, 5:24, 14:6, Acts 4:12, Romans 10:8- 13, and get the salvation of your eternal soul settled with the Lord today. May God grant you His GRACE is my prayer.

“The Ten Year Cycles of Change“
The Ten Year Cycles of Change
By Pastor F. M. Riley
January 22, 2017
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like Me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,” Isaiah 46:9-10.
A brother in Christ reminded me that back in 2007, I wrote a Bible study on the meaings of the numbers seven and eight, pointing out in that study that seven is the Bible number signifying “completion or fulfillment,” and eight is the Bible number signifying “change or a new beginning.” And sure enough in 2007 the American economy nearly collapsed due to the collapse of the housing market, and in 2008 many changes were made in the American economic system to guard against a complete collapse of the banking system and the economy.
The brother’s reminder caused me to begin looking into the changes that have occurred in these “last days,” especially in relation to the nation and people of Israel. What I discovered was that there has been a cycle of changes every ten years since 1897, always occurring in the 7th and 8th years of every decade. Amazing! This study is an examination of the changes which have occurred since 1897, and their relation to end-time Bible prophecy. I leave it up to my readers to decide for themselves the Biblical value of what I am presenting in this study…….
A Home for the “Wandering Jew”
I will begin this study with the year, 1897, because that was the year the history of the Jewish people began to change for the better after nearly 2,000 years of turmoil, strife, persecution, and “wandering” over the face of the whole earth.
In 70 A.D. the armies of the Roman Empire invaded the nation of Judah, and burned Jerusalem and the Jewish Temple. Thousands of the Jewish people fled from the Holy Land, and were scattered among the nations all over the world. And for nearly 2,000 years they wandered from nation to nation, never finding a place of rest. Their situation through the centuries only grew worse and worse until finally in…….
1897…….It was in August of 1897 that Theodor Herzl convened the First Jewish Congress in Basle, Switzerland. He invited prominent Jewish leaders from all over the world to come together for the stated purpose of “seeking out a national homeland for the Jewish people.” When that First Jewish Congress ended, without any immediate results, Theodor Herzl uttered these prophetic words, “The nation of Israel may not become a reality in my lifetime, but the ground work has been laid. Israel will exist again as a nation among the nations of the world within fifty years.” Theodor Herzel did not claim to be a prophet in any Biblical sense, yet in the month of August, 1947, fifty years to the day, the United Nations voted to end the British Mandate over the holy land, and separate the land, giving half of it to the Jews and half of it to the Arabs to establish their own states. This action made it possible for Jewish leaders to re-establish the nation of Israel the following year in 1948. What a change took place that year! Was all of this just “coincidence,” or was the God of Israel working out His will for His covenanted people?
Ten years after 1897 would be the year of…….
1907…….For many centuries the nation of Japan was a closed nation in regards to the rest of the world, and the Japanese emperors wanted to keep it that way. Foreigners were not welcome nor wanted in Japan. But Japan was teeming with hordes of people, and the rest of the world wanted to “do business” with these people. So…….
In 1907, the American government sent it’s naval vessels, what was then called The Great White Fleet, sailing into the harbor in Tokyo, Japan, to force the opening of the country of Japan to trade with the rest of the world. The Japanese emperor at that time was faced with complying with America’s request or going to war, and he made the decision to open up the country of Japan to foreign trade.
So in 1908 the first trading vessels arrived in Japan with their merchandise, and the change in Japan’s policy and economy began. Japan’s modern history is well known by most of our readers.
1917…….For 400 years the Holy Land had been under the direct control of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. But during the First World War in 1917 the Ottoman Turks were defeated and driven out of the Holy Land by the advancing Allied forces. The city of Jerusalem was abandoned by the Turkish army to the extent that the commander of the Allied Forces, General Allenby, entered and took control of Jerusalem without a shot being fired. Instead of giving their ancient homeland back to the Jewish people at that time, the whole land was placed under the British Mandate by what was then known as The League of Nations.
The next year, 1918, Jewish people. which for 400 years had been barred from even entering their ancient homeland by the Ottoman Turks, were allowed to begin immigrating back to the Holy Land. Indeed a change had taken place!
1927…….Another ten years later most of the nations of Europe were still struggling to recover from the economic impact of the First World War. It was during 1927 that the whole world economic system began to show signs of being in trouble. But the signs were generally ignored, and nothing was done. Then in 1928, the change came as the economy of nation after nation began to collapse. The world economy was changing, so much, so fast, that in 1929 the entire world economy collapsed and the Great Depression came upon the whole world.
1937…….The Great Depression lasted throughout the 1930’s, until the beginning of the Second World War. It was in 1937 that Germany, under the leadership of Adolph Hitler, began making moves against some of the nations around it. This resulted in a change in 1938 when full scale war broke out in Europe. It has been said that “wars” are fought for monetary reasons. Certainly, with the need for mass production of weapons of war, thousands of people were put to work producing those weapons, and the world economy quickly improved. America entered the war on December 7, 1941, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. and a change certainly occurred, when on December 8, 1941 then President Franklin Delano Roosevelt publically announced that America had declared war on Japan.
1947……We move forward another ten years, and once again an event of world significance occurred. As already noted, it was in August of 1947 that the United Nations voted to end the British Mandate over the Holy Land and allow two separate states to be established, one for the Jewish people, and the other for the Arabs. The Jews took advantage of the situation. The Arabs did not!
The Jewish leaders in the world conferred together and wasted no time in agreeing to establish the nation of Israel, which they did on May 14, 1948. A change had come in the Holy Land which effects the entire Middle East, and much of the world right to this present day.
The new nation of Israel was immeditely plunged into it’s war of independence. The Arabs [Muslims], rather than establishing their own nation at that time, were determined to wipe out the nation of Israel before it could be born. However, they were not successful. Little Israel defeated the Arabs and won their war of independence.
1957…….Then in 1956 war broke out again in the Middle East over the use of the Suez Canal by Israeli ships. This war was concluded in 1957, and in 1958 Israel’s ships began using the Suez Canal like the ships of all other nations. The change had taken place.
1967…….Every reader surely knows what occurred in Israel in 1967. The Six Day War! Remember?
What may not have occurred to some readers is that this war happened exactly 70 years after Theodor Herzl convened the First Jewish Congress in 1897 to seek out a homeland for the Jewish people. “70” is the Bible number signifying “the restoration of Israel.”
The Six Day War began when most of the Arab nations around Israel attacked Israel on all fronts simultaneously. Obviously these Arab nations had conspired together to defeat Israel. Well, guess who got defeated? Little David Israel, not really even prepared for such an unexpected attack, went up against the combined forces of the Arab Goliath, and defeated all of them in just six days. Glory to God! The negotiations following the cease fire continued right on into the following year, 1968, when there was a change in the border of Israel, and in the attitude of some of those Arab nations. Since that time, first the nation of Egypt, and years later, the nation of Jordan, actually signed a “peace agreement” with the nation and people of Israel, Glory to God!
1977…….It was during this year that the nation of Israel received a totally unexpected visitor. In November of 1977 the Presidential plane of Egypt approached the airport at Jerusalem requesting landing permission. The Israeli authorities were shocked, but granted permission for the plane to land. President Anwar Sadat of Egypt stepped out of the plane to announce to the shocked Israeli authorities that he had come to “make peace” with the nation of Israel. Glory to God!
Negotiations began immediately, and went on into and through 1978, both nations making changes on the map of the Sinai Peninsula
between Israel and Egypt. Finally, on March 26, 1979, Israel and Egypt signed a peace agreement, ending hostilities between the two nations. Certainly a great change had taken place.
1987…….It is a sad truth that, despite all the missionary efforts of the “Christian” churches throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, most of the unbelieving world had never heard of the rapture, which was taught only by a small minority of fundamental Christian churches who take God’s Word literally for what it actually says. But the Lord God was about to do something about that lack of knowledge on the part of the lost world.
In 1987, a former NASA Engineer, Ed Whisenant, who was also a “born again” Christian believer, began to seriously study the prophecies of God’s Word. As a result, he became convinced that mankind was living in “the last days,” and the vision of Habakkuk was being fulfilled, Habakkuk 2:1-3. He became convinced that the return of Christ to resurrect and rapture His people to glory would occur at Rosh HaShanah, 1988, primarily because that year was Israel’s 40th year of existence as a modern nation. He then wrote a small pamphlet entitled, “88 Reasons Why the Rapture will occur in 1988,” and had more than 50,000 copies of it printed up at his own expense. His little paper pamphlet seemed very insignificant, but for some reason known only to the Lord, that little pamphlet went all over the world in just a matter of weeks. And everywhere it went it created a sensation among those who read it. Not only did unbelieving people all over the world become acquainted with what the Bible has to say about the rapture, but thousands of people turned from their unbelief and sin and sought the Lord Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior.
Folks, people all over the world who had never previously heard the Biblical truth about the rapture were talking about it in the streets of cities, towns, and villages, all over America, and also in other nations. That little pamphlet, distributed all over the world in 1988, changed the knowledge of thousands of people about the Bible and our Christian beliefs.
Some people right to this day label Ed Whisenant as a “false teacher” and deceiver. He was neither! He was a dedicated Christian man with a genuine burden to see the lost saved before being left behind at the rapture. And thousands were saved! It was conservatively estimated that at least 150,000 people around the world came to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ during the Rapture 88 Movement in 1987-88. I was not and am not aware that Satan is in the soul saving business! It is the Holy Spirit of the Living God who saves souls. I personally know of over 400 people who received Christ as their Savior during that movement. It was the greatest spiritual movement of God I have personally ever seen, and I count it an honor to have been a part of it
Most certainly, Ed Whisenant was wrong on the “date” of Christ return, but is being wrong on a “date” the unforgiveable sin? I hardly think so! Is there any reader of this study who hasn’t been wrong on one thing or another you once believed about God’s Word? I suggest all of the unforgiving critics give heed to the words of our Lord in John 8:7, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone….”
1997…….The next decade of change came in 1997-98. It was during 1997 that Yasir Arafat campaigned for Israel to give up the west bank of the Holy Land in order that the Palestinians could establish a nation of their own. Under pressure from Bill Clinton, then President of the United States, an agreement was reached between Israel and the PLO, and signed by Netanyahu and Yasir Arafat at the White House in Washington, D.C., on October 23, 1998. So certainly a change occurred in 1998.
But what a waste of time! To this day the Palestinians have not established a nation of their own. Why? Because their own leaders, like Arafat was, are so proud and filled with their own self importance, and so jealous of one another, that they simply cannot agree on “who” will be the leader of their so-called “nation.” Stupidity in action!
One other thing before leaving 1998. Divide this year number by three and here is what you will find. 666 + 666 + 666 = 1998. Does this mean or indicate something? You decide!
2007…….Here is the next decade of years ending in 7 and 8. I wrote out a Bible study, as previously mentioned, in 2007, about the significance of these two numbers, and plainly stated in that study that there would be great changes in 2008. Was there ever!
In 2007 the entire housing market in America got into deep financial trouble, causing it to collapse in 2008. The result was that hundreds of
foreclosures occurred, many banks went out of business, and many people all over America lost their homes, creating a recession in America in 2009. Remember? It hasn’t been that long ago! And some people are still hurting from the effects of it even today.
There is no question that the years of 2007-08 were years of great changes in America, even effecting some other nations in the world. But just hang on! As some are fond of saying, “You haven’t seen anything yet!”
2017…….Wow! This year has finally arrived, the year all true believers have been waiting for, whether some realize it or not. I could write an entire Bible study just on this year alone, but I won’t! Rather, with the Lord’s help, I will point out just a few things that should make our readers realize that this year is God’s appointed year to make the change from this present Dispensation of Grace to the seven year judgment of the Tribulation period. Are you ready?
2017 is exactly 120 years from 1897, when Theodor Herzel convened the First Jewish Congress, which set in motion the ultimate restoration of the Jewish people to a right relationship with their God. Just as a 120 year warning was given preceding the judgment of the flood in “the days of Noah,” so the Lord God also graciously gave mankind living today a 120 year warning of impending judgment to come.
2017 is exactly 100 years from 1917 when the Ottoman Turks were driven from the Holy Land. “100” is the Bible number signifying “calling; choosing; election.”
2017 is exactly 70 years from 1947 when the United Nations ended the British Mandate over the Holy Land, making it possible for the Jewish people to re-establish their nation the following year. “70” is the Bible number signifying “the restoration of Israel.”
2017 is exactly 50 years from 1967 when the Six Day War was fought, restoring the city of Jerusalem and the entire west bank to the nation and people of Israel. “50” is the Bible number signifying “the Jubilee; freedom; liberty; restoration.” See Leviticus 25, the entire chapter.
2017 is the year 5777 on the Jewish calendar. “777” is the Bible number signifying “the exceeding fullness of the wrath of God.” Are our readers aware that the father of Noah was 777 years of age? See Genesis 5:31-32. Are our readers also aware that America’s new President, Donald Trump, on the day he was inaugurated, his age was 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days? .
The numbers which identify this paticular year of the century are quite unique. There have been no year numbers like them since 1917, one hundred years ago. 1 + 7 = 8. 1917 was a year of drastic CHANGE. Likewise 2017 will be a year of amazing CHANGE.
The numbers this year are 1 and 7, making up the number 17. The number, “1,” in God’s Word signifies “unity; to unite; to become united or in unity.” The number, “7,” in God’s Word is the Bible number signifying “to fulfill; to finish; to complete; to bring to completion.” The two numbers together as a unit make up the number 17. The number, “17,” is the Bible number signifying “Victory; to acheive a victory; to become victorious.”
Therefore, during this particular year, we can expect unity to be accomplished between two parties who have previously been at odds with one another, divided, and out of fellowship. The second number indicates that this unity will come even as another event is being fulfilled, finished, or completed. Then the number, 17, indicates that some will finally acheive a victory. Now what could possibly be indicated by these particular numbers for this year of 2017? I’m so glad you asked!
I have previously pointed out that eight is the Bible number signifying “to change; to begin anew; a new start or beginning.” Ordinarily changes always occur in the eighth year, following the year number ending in seven. But this year is different in that the year numbers, 1 and 7, add up to 8. This year, just like the year of 1917, will be an entire year of CHANGE, drastic change, amazing change, and every reader of this study will see and experience these changes for themselves. Just grab your Bible and hang on. In view of the inspired prophecies of the Bible, this year is going to be a wild ride…….
2017 is the year that a “remnant” of Israel and the Jewish people will turn back to the Lord God of Israel, and be restored to a right relationship and fellowship with Him. Even as I write Jewish people are turning to and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, and the Tribulation hasn’t even started yet. Glory to God!
2017 is the year when this present Dispensation of Grace will end with the return of Christ to resurrect and rapture His Church and all true New Covenant believers to glory, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. The love and longing for Christ, in the hearts and minds of all true believers, will finally burst into glorious reality as we see and hear the Savior calling for us to “Come up hither,” Revelaton 4:1. Just as Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 15:49-57, when the rapture occurs, we who are true believers, will finally have “victory” over the flesh, the world, the devil, and death. Glory to God! Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus!
2017 is the year when the terrible judgment of the seven year Tribulation will begin. Many today who “profess” Christ with their mouths, but deny Him in their hearts and lives, will find themselves left behind when the rapture occurs, to face and go through this terrible time of judgment upon a Christ rejecting world. How terrible to be so close to the kingdom of God, and yet miss it. I remind our readers that “profession” is not “possession” of salvation and eternal life. Read 2 Peter 1:10-11 and Romans 10:8-10 and act upon these Scriptures while there is still time to be saved. Hurry! The rapture could occur at any time now!
The desire of my heart is that every reader of this study will meet me
in glory when the Trumpet of God sounds, 1 Thessalonians 4:16. Please don’t disappoint me!
May our precious Lord God add His blessings to this message.

Two provoking videos that expose the evil lurking in our Nation to bring about its destruction. Meanwhile the public is distracted with the elections, sports, TV and numerous forms of mind numbing activities.
Jesus is coming for His Bride!
Tomorrow there will be a rare black moon in the sky and many are relating it to the Apocalypse.
It is noteworthy to point out that Sunday is Elul 29 the end of the Jubilee year 2015-2016 and that God sent warnings through the Dow dropping 7% in the years 2001 and 2008 followed by depressions.
Will Monday see a drop of 49% and 7,777 points?
Luis Vega has done a very good study of the Jewish Fall feasts using the creation calendar and the Rabbinical calendar. Only God knows the correct calendar that He is using, so sit tight and wait. Very good work Luis Vega.
As many of my close family and friends could barely be called true believers and have become scoffers, this article will resonate in their minds for a long time.
Remember Lot’s Wife
By Matt Leasher
Throughout the gospels the Lord Jesus Christ prophesied about His Second Coming several times and He said that those days would be like it was in the days of Noah and also as it was in the days of Lot.
In Luke chapter 17 it is recorded that the Pharisees had asked Him when the kingdom of God would come and He told them that the kingdom of God does not come with observation but that the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:20-21).
But then He turned to His disciples and gave them a much more extended description about what to look for when He is about to return. Picking up in verse 28, He said:
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot, they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot’s wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it” (Luke 17:28-33).
Many have mistakenly taken this passage to assume that the Lord was using this comparison as a description of the Rapture based on the next few verses, which say:
“I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left” (Luke 17:34-36).
While those verses sound very much like a description of the results of the Rapture, the next verse describes where those people went that were “taken” proving that this isn’t talking about the Rapture. The disciples ask Him, ‘Where Lord?’ And He answered: ‘Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together’” (Luke 17:37).
It is obvious that those that were “taken” were taken to be slaughtered when the Antichrist comes into the Holy Land after the mid-point of Daniel’s 70th Week (Matthew 24:15-20; Zechariah 14:2; Daniel 7:21; 11:41). This is a description of an arrest, not a Rapture.
Even though the context of this passage is not describing the Rapture of the Church, there is still a warning that Jesus proclaimed that can be applied to the Church today, and that is when He said, “Remember Lot’s wife” in verse 32. In fact, a single verse is assigned to just that warning!
In the context of that statement, Jesus was warning the Jews not to turn back for anything in their homes when the Antichrist forces invade Jerusalem as Lot’s wife had stopped to look back at her hometown that the Lord was about to destroy with fire and brimstone causing her to turn to a pillar of salt due to her disobedience.
Since Lot had obeyed the angel’s orders to not look back, it is quite likely that Lot’s wife was lagging far behind Lot without him knowing it due to her reluctance to leave her hometown. She may have even considered turning and going back at the moment that she was turned to salt.
The Hebrew word used in Genesis 19:26 for “look” is “nabat” (Strong’s # H5027) and can have an alternate meaning of “to show regard”. This may very well reveal Lot’s wife’s true mindset of her desire to “look” back. She had regarded her old life more than the next life that the Lord was leading them to.
For the Christians living in the current Church Age, this same warning can be heeded as to not be so attached to this world that we are not looking for the Blessed Hope of His soon appearing for His bride (Titus 2:12-13).
This especially applies to the Church since the New Testament tells us that this world is not our home (Hebrews 13:14), and that we are only sojourners passing through this world (1 Peter 2:11), and that our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20).
Part of becoming a born-again Christian is realizing that we are not of this world and that our lives are a temporary assignment mission as ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). The first epistle of John warns us that this world is passing away, but he who does the will of God abides forever (1 John 2:17). In the same passage we are warned not to love the world:
“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world” (1 John 2:15-16).
It could very well be that Lot’s wife had loved her hometown of Sodom so much that she could not let it go and disregarded the angel’s warning to not look back (Genesis 19:17). The real sad part is that her hometown of Sodom was about the most evil territory on the planet at that time.
One would have to wonder what was so intriguing that she would want to stay or go back? It could have been that their sons-in-law had ignored the warning to leave and decided to stay (Genesis 19:14).
This in itself is an example of the family division that can commonly occur when the Word of God is not taken seriously among family members and also demonstrates how important it is that we witness to our loved ones about the saving grace of the gospel of Christ while there is still time.
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14).
Many of us have taken the steps to witness to our loved ones but they still do not want to listen or believe and sometimes we are even mocked by our own family members. It is interesting to note that the angels took Lot and his family “by their hands” to escort them out of the city, except for their sons-in-law.
This is because they had mocked the warning that the angels had given, so the angels gave them what they wanted, and that was to stay!
In Luke 17:28-30, Jesus said that it will be like the days of Lot when the Son of Man is revealed. He is speaking about the conditions of the world. The city of Sodom was plagued with sodomy, hence where the word gets its name.
Homosexuality is running like wildfire throughout our present world today and has even been used to redefine marriage right here in our own country. I don’t think our world could be anymore as it was in the day of Lot than it is right now!
When Lot’s wife looked back unto Sodom her heart was still attached to the people and things that remained there, even though she had physically left the city and was on her way to safety and refuge from the coming wrath.
How many Christians today have this same heart problem? They have their ticket to heaven by trusting in Christ but yet they still cling to the many things of this world that are not of God, or they are complacent with the things that God opposes!
“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy with God” (James 4:4).
The wrath of God is approaching this world like a speeding freight train yet the majority of the world is so engaged in their lustful pleasures that not only do they not see it coming but they have no remorse in their sinful lifestyles whatsoever.
Homosexuality is being flaunted and celebrated on a global basis and sadly even many Christian organizations are in support of it. They are focused on their flesh and not their eternal souls. The Word of God admonishes us to walk in the Spirit to combat the lusts of the flesh:
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things you wish” (Galatians 5:16-17).
“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Romans 13:14).
Whether it be homosexuality or any form of fleshly lust, if we are truly following Christ we certainly are not going to condone any sin of the flesh, let alone gloat in it as so many people are now doing in LGBT community, hence the term “gay pride!”
We are all born with sinful desires of all sorts and they all need to be combated on a daily basis. That can only be done with prayer and obedience to the Word of God. To praise homosexuality the way that it is being praised is to be at enmity with God. God loves the sinner but hates the sin.
Sin is what separated humanity from God and Jesus Christ sacrificed His life on a Roman cross so that we could be reconciled back to God. When we profess to accept His payment for our sin, there is no room for compromise for any sin that may be in our lives and any sexual activity outside of a man and a woman in holy matrimony is sin. Period!
Our Lord’s warning in Luke 17:32 is an instruction for us to never look back or turn back from our profession of true faith that we have made and to follow Christ and abide by His truths and ordinances.
“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).
Lot’s wife may have also regretted having being made to leave her hometown. It has been surmised that Lot’s wife may have likely been a native of the city of Sodom since Lot did not have a wife when he left Abraham to go settle there (Genesis 13:8-12).
Her allegiance was to her hometown more than it was to the Lord or even her husband! This is also an example of the error and the cost of being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14).
Many have wondered why Lot’s wife was turned to salt. There are physical reasons as well as symbolic reasons and the Bible provides both. Lot’s wife was likely lagging so far behind Lot and their daughters that some of the effects of the city’s destruction may very well have affected her.
Deuteronomy 29:23 graphically describes brimstone and salt as being an after-effect upon the land of Sodom and Gomorrah after He inflicted His wrath upon it. So it doesn’t seem as though Lot’s wife traveled very far after leaving the gates of the city.
As for the symbolic aspect of her turning to salt, Lot’s wife was left behind after Lot had made it to the city of Zoar where the angels told them to go for safety. The angels also clarified that they could not do anything until they got there (Genesis 19:22). In the New Testament Jesus declared that the church is the salt of the earth.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men” (Matthew 5:13).
Salt is a flavor enhancer and a preservative. The Church’s role in this dispensation is to enhance the world around us with the Good News of Jesus Christ and help to get new believers preserved for that Day of redemption.
When this current Age of Grace ends there will be many people left behind that were “lukewarm” in their acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Savior that will finally realize that He is who He says He is and that the Bible is all truth. Some will perish while some will immediately convert and become believers.
Those Tribulation saints will then have to be the salt of the earth after the Church has reached its destination of safety via the Rapture! In that context, Lot’s wife may be representative of people that profess to be Christians but their hearts are still tethered to this world and they have not truly surrendered themselves to Christ.
The Lord was merciful to Lot’s family and Lot’s wife had rejected that grace when she regarded her hometown of Sodom above the Lord’s mercy and grace.
I’d like to point out that just after Jesus said to remember Lot’s wife in Luke 17:32, He then said, “Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it” (Luke 17:33). This is the same statement He used when He declared that a man has no profit if he was to even gain the whole world:
“For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:25-26)
This same exact admonishment is given in three out of the four gospels! The other two are found in Luke 9:24-25 and in Mark 8:35-37. It certainly seems as though the Lord wanted this warning to be emphasized for it to be repeated so many times.
There is one last thing I’d like to point out about Lot’s wife that is not only relative to the Church but also to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Many people that hold to a Mid or Post-Tribulation view, declare that the Lord will protect and preserve the Church through the Tribulation period leaving them unharmed from His wrath.
However, Lot’s wife was not even allowed to “look” at it let alone be preserved through it, so why would the Church, who have been made righteous through Christ, be allowed to even see it?
The worldwide cataclysmic events that are going to take place during the Tribulation period are going to be impossible to not see as Christians are scattered all over the world.
Not only that, but how many Christians would be tempted to revel and cheer at the destruction of the many ungodly organizations and enemies of Christ? But the Lord told us not to revel at our enemies demise (Proverbs 24:17 and that we are to pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44).
If you are a Christian reading this and you think that the Church is going to have to endure the inescapable horrors of the Tribulation period, I’d like to remind you to remember Lot’s wife!
The overall message here for Christians today is that we should never place anything above the Lord and the grace and mercy that He has given us through His Son Jesus Christ. There is nothing in this world worth looking back at when He has given us so much to look forward to and our faith in that should be our driving force to abstain from all worldly lusts.
“Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul” (Hebrews 10:38-39).
Most of the Bible prophecy buffs, myself included were expecting the Rapture to occur at the feast of Pentecost this year. This feast was calculated in different dates by the Church and by the Jewish religious authorities.
The study of when the feast is supposed to be celebrated presented by Elaine B. originally and brought to our attention again by James Brownlow gives a new date this year at August 3/4.
Let us be in prayer and watchful to use our time to the utmost of efficiency for those dear to us that are blind to see what is coming our way.

“Eliane B. and When is Pentecost , “fully come ? ““
Eliane and readers :
That was a most interesting study and internet link you posted last week. The scriptures do seem to point to August 3 / 4 as being “Pentecost fully come” this year. Could the starting date for the church will also be its ending date ?
In addition to being a high watch, feast date , this also is exactly to the day, Obama’s SEVENTH birthday in office — August 4th — and because this year is a leap year , August 3 is calendar day 216 — 6x6x6 — in year 2016 — another 6x6x6.
Also, Pentecost is closely connected to fire. From your links ,
1. Samson torches the Philistines wheat. Judges 15:1-5
2. When Saul was crowned King, Samuel calls down fire from heaven. 1Samuel 12:17-8
3. Cloven tongues of fire descend on those in the upper room. Acts 2:1-4
PS. As your links were not connecting , I was able to access the websites listed by using google.

“Pentecost “fully come” is on the 28th of the 4th Hebrew month”
It’s been about 4 years since I last posted on Five Doves. I hope you are well and everyone in the community too.
Thanks for sharing, Eliane.
When is the true Pentecost date? When is it “fully come”?
My references are the Creation Calendar website and the Lunar Sabbath website.
In both websites, before touching the subject of the correct method of calculating when the Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) is fully come, they first explain (with an abundance of scriptural evidence) that the 7th day of the ancient Hebrew week (the weekly Sabbath) is not equivalent to the Gregorian Calendar’s “Saturday”.
With that explained, they present the fact that nowhere in scriptures does it say that Pentecost is in spring neither that Pentecost takes place in the beginning of the 3rd Hebrew month (“Sivan”). Pentecost is a summer Feast that concludes the grain harvest. The main grain harvests in Israel were barley (which begins to ripen on the Feast of Firstfruits, on Nisan 16th) and wheat (which ripens in the end of the 4th Hebrew month (also called “Tammuz” after the Babylonian exile) if we’re referring to wheat planted in spring, not in fall or winter. Scripture always refer to new grain not old grain). Only wheat planted in the fall gets ripe in the beginning of the 3rd Hebrew month. Wheat planted in spring takes about 4 months to mature and this can be confirmed by the Department of Agriculture.
The Feast of Pentecost falls on the 28th day of the 4th Hebrew month (“Tammuz”). In 2016 this date will land on August 3rd or 4th. Troy Miller (Creator Calendar website’s author) says that it’s the 29th of 4th month, but I think the 28th is the correct counting, because the morrow after the 7th Sabbath (9th of Sivan) is already counted as the 1st day in the counting from 1 to 50. It also depends on one of the previous months having an extra day or not.
In the book of Ruth, the story begins in the beginning of the Barley harvest (Ruth 1:22) and ends at the end of the barley AND the wheat harvest (Ruth 2:23). The end of the redemption process [which is the main subject of the Book of Ruth: a Redeemer (type of Christ) taking a gentile bride (type of the Church)] takes place on the Feast of Pentecost. This is a significant hint in Scriptures.
There were two silver trumps for the calling of the assembly: one on Pentecost and the other on the Feast of Trumpets. Most people think that the Feast of Pentecost has already been completely fulfilled but then I ask: what’s the meaning of the two loaves of leavened bread being lifter UP by the Priest? Nothing has gone UP to the Father on that Feast yet. In the previous partial fulfillments of that Feasts, things came DOWN from Heaven, not up. I believe that the Rapture of the Churth (Boaz getting married to Ruth) will take place on that Feast. I’m not saying that anything will happen in any specific year. I’m just presenting information about the scriptural Pentecost date, in any year.
In the book of Revelation, Christ appears in the middle of the seven candlesticks. The Feast of Pentecost is represented by the central lamp in the Menorah (as the 4th Feast, in the middle of the seven). The rapture or the Bride of the Son of God is a central event in the prophetic calendar.
Below I present the articles that refer to the Feast of Pentecost, but first, the reader must understand the Lunar Sabbath explanation in the other articles. The day we know today as “Saturday” (in the Gregorian Calendar) is not the Sabbath of the ancient Hebrew calendar. Secondly, the counting of 50 days comes AFTER seven lunar Sabbaths are counted. The seventh (lunar) Sabbath after Passover is the 8th of Sivan. The morrow after that date is the 9th of Sivan, the 1st day of the omer (counting to 50). The 50th day of the omer is the 28th of 4th Hebrew month.
I know that if this is the first time you come across this concept you will find it really strange. But all the scriptural references with regard calendar on the Creation Calendar website are abundant and should be carefully analyzed. Note: I’m referring to the Sabbath and Pentecost studies only. I don’t necessarily agree with other views and doctrines held by the author.
I’ve shared these lines because I noticed that many doves expressed interest in identifying the correct Pentecost date. If anyone doesn’t agree with this line of thought (lunar Sabbaths, Pentecost in summer etc) it’s perfectly OK. It’s not my intention to start an endless thread about this subject.
Let me just conclude by saying that, much more important than calendar issues is using all resources we have (time, money, talents) in a wise manner (suggested reading: Luke 16). Our acts here have eternal impact for ourselves and for others, specially unsaved ones. I’ve sincerely been much more concerned about that than about any discussion about dates.
Have a blessed day,
