Definitively the 70 years maximum for the people of Israel after the re-birth of the Nation is a maximum point for the Second Coming of Jesus. If not we have to interpret the following verses:

³²“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. ³³Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it^[d]is near, right at the door. ³⁴I tell you the truth, this generation^[e] will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. ³⁵Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The fig tree is the Nation of Israel. Now at the time Jesus was speaking these words Israel was in existence as a Nation. It was destroyed in 70 AD and was born again as a Nation in May 14, 1948 fulfilling the fig tree prophecy.

Dear Doves,

On Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets September 21, 2017 (Tishri 1, 5777) the Nation Israel will be 69 years of age – having had its 69th birthday previously on May 14, 2017. May 14, 2018 would ordinarily be its 70th birthday.

I believe that the “great tribulation” of Matthew 24 will abruptly end ( ie. be cut-short ) for the Nation Israel before it attains the age of seventy years by the ‘Second Coming’ of our Lord on Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets September 21, 2017. The Jubilee Year begins ten days later on the Day of Atonement Tishir 10, 5777 when the Lord re-claims the earth to be His own Kingdom.

Psalms 90:10

“The days of our lives are seventy years.”
